How long does it take for the side effect of reddening of the body due to widdening of small blood vessels to go away when the drug is discontinued ## It really depends on how long you were taking it, it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. Some gentle massage and increasing your activity levels might help, if you're doctor approves of you doing such. How long were you on it? ## My husband was on diltia XT for eight months and now he has been off of the med. for almost two months and is still getting the peripheral vasodilitation. Thank you for your reply. By the way are you in the medical field? I am a R.N.

Due to a skin diseases (small vessels) my doctor advised me omnacotril-25 and then reduce to 20 and then 15 and then 10, now am taking omnacortil-5 it has been more than one month to taking it, sometime i feel tiredness and lazy and feel confusion or forget the things what i was about to do is it the side of this medicine? ## Omnacortil contains the active ingredient Prednisolone, which is a corticosteroid medication and yes, taking it for such a long period of time can cause side effects such as what you are experiencing. Have you talked to your doctor? You should discuss it with them, just to be certain and to make sure that the issues haven't been caused by an unrelated condition.

I have been taking phenytoin for 15 years for seizures due to abnormal vessel between speech and memory part of my brain. I fill my meds at Wal-Mart. Here lately they switched me to phenytoin made by a different company and it has me all messed up.I was taking a brand made by a company AMN. Now they switched to a company called Mylan. I am tired of this.Once they gave me phenytoin that was orange color. Talk about being on edge, I was. What is the difference in one company and the other? Now I feel like I am going to have a seizure. I feel totally different.I am scared and don't like feeling weird. ## Hello, Francis! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. There can be slight fluctuations between one generic medication and another, they are allowed to di...

Isosorbide MN ER 30 MG - I took this drug - 1 each day - for 1 1/2 months to relieve the steady pain of Esophageal Spasms and developed severe headaches. Thought at first it was from arthritis in my back so went a chiropractor for 1 month - no help there. Stopped taking this drug for 4 nights and "WOW" No headaches. I will NOT take anymore of this medication. ## Who told you to take it to treat that? Isosorbide Mononitrate is usually used to treat angina pectoris, because it dilates the blood vessels and can reduce the pressure on them. Thus, it is not a pain reliever, nor a muscle relaxant. And headaches are a very common side effect of this medication, due to the very nature of how it works. ## Your headache indeed was because of the medication, had you needed it for a HEART c...

I am 20 weeks pregnant and my gynac prescribed above medicine for days for abdominal pain. Please advise is there any side effect of the same on my baby. ## Hi, Yogi! How are you doing? Congrats on the baby! If your doctor feels you need this, due to the pain you were having, then the risks would be far greater if you didn't take it as prescribed. Isoxsuprine helps increase blood flow to the baby, sometimes when you're pregnant it doesn't flow throughout your abdomen as well as it should due to the added weight of the baby or just sluggish blood vessels. It seems that african American women may have different side effects then those of European descent. I have had a large fluid filled blister on my breast, blood vessel burst in eye, edema of eyeball. Now after a bit over 2 months I see my hair is thinning! Please share your unique side effects so I won't feel so unusual, odd and isolated. #dontwannabebald ## Hello, Lynne! How are you? Yes, that is possible, it has been known to happen with quite a few medications, the side effects and their intensity can also vary by age and in relation to other health conditions. Not to mention that these drugs used to treat leukemia cause some pretty awful side effects, either way. How are you doing, now? ## Okay, often angry due to lack of control and full understanding regarding my condition. I ...

Terrible stuff, disturbing dreams, anger bursts, crying bouts, blood vessels in eye burst first day or so. I am 74, female. This is awful- Unpredictible anxiety, feelings of doom, insomnia. Have weaned myself from 40 mg to 5-10 mg. daily-must continue on that, I feel, to eventually have no side effects that upset my entire well being. NOTHING is worth feeling like this. God help me. ## Hi, Judy! Wow, that's terrible! I am so sorry you've been so miserable due to this medication. However, I can assure you that you aren't the only person this has happened to, these medications are known to backfire in some people that take them, regardless of age and there have been other posts about it. Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to help you wean yourself off of this las...

I was prescribed Nasonex for two months last autumn and am now reaping the benefits. I have constant nose bleeds and am now allergic the various things including paint. I am due to have cauterisation for damaged blood vessel which was caused by this drug. ## Hello, Paulie! How are you doing? I'm sorry about what you've experienced. Unfortunately, every medication carries the risk of possibly causing side effects and some long-term damage, it's just what happens when you add a chemical to the body to try to correct a problem. The FDA lists its other most common side effects as possibly including headache, taste disturbances, diarrhea and nausea. When are you having the procedure?

ASPIRIN Aspirin is termed as the wonder drug in the medical field due to its widespread use in number of diseases. It is also prescribed by the doctors for heart diseases. Aspirin is termed as an effective weapon against heart disease due to its ability to prevent blood clotting. Heart attack occurs when a clot blocks a blood vessel. Blood clotting takes place when the platelets group together. But when Aspirin is consumed, it interferes with this process and prevents the platelets from grouping together by making them less sticky. ## Thanks for the great information. However, as with any medication, there are possible risks associated with the use of Aspirin. It can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. For people that already have stomach pr...
