I am 64 yrs old and diagnosed for mitral valve prolapse. My cardiologist prescribed to me concor 5mg. I feel pain after taking the concor 5 so i reduced it to 2.5mg yet i still feel a the pain. I have decided to cut in half the 2.5mg but still i feel some pain. Shall i continue taking it. I have a normal blood pressure. ## What type of pain? Generally body aches, or stomach pain? The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. If you really feel that you can't tolerate it, you should see your doctor to find out what you alternative options may be.

I started taking 30 mg tablets three times a day for a total of 90 mg. When 120 mg capsules became available, I was switched to one a day. That dosage controlled my tachycardia well for some time, but then I was diagnosed with a defective aortic heart valve, and I rejected replacement, preferring to risk failure rather than accept the negative aspects of replacement. After my open heart surgery CABGX4 for 3 valve disease on 30.7.15, nearly after 2 months of surgery suddenly started giddiness for which i consult the neurologist and he prescribe betavert od 24 which i took for 2 weeks, but giddiness is continuing. Now he has prescribed spin free tablet for 2 months and this is available in india. dr. told us that the equivalent tablet is available in uae. Plz help ## For the past three days I have been taking spin-free tablets at bedtime only. When I am getting up or while lying down I've been getting giddiness and the whole room feels like it's rotating for me. What is the reason for this? Is it due to the drug or something else?

I'm a person who had mitral valve replacement 12 year before my doctor said to avoid high intake of vitamin k because of i'm taking warfarin (blood thinner tablets ) tablets. can i take this becosule capsules for vitamin b12 ? is it safe for me ? ## Hello, Mahendra! I am a Canadian resident in Costa Rica since 1984. I have a lot of med. problems. No thyroid (papillary carsinoma), ACFA patient, high blood pressure, sick sinus of the heart syndrome, pacemaker, 2 heart valves need replacement, abdominal hernia, needs surgery. foot bunions and distorted feet waiting surgery many years, shortness of breath, electrical pain from osteo arthritis in all joints, and pelvis, impinchment of pelvis, worn out bone surfaces at joints, using a lot of meds for above conditions. Using acetaminophen with codeine, 4 tablets in 24 hours, to cover the pain. Less won't work. I underwent Aeotic valve replacement in April 2006. After 6 months Dr. prescribed 3 tablets viz. Amalong 5mg, Ecosprin 150 mg, and Storvas 10mg. There was no problem upto 2013 December. For the past one and half years I developed Prostate condition (urine passes slowly), of course my creatinine is 1.1. Dr.says that deposits in the urine bladder may be a reason. I just want to know whether any side effect is possible because of the above medicines. I am 67 now. ## It is doubtful, such medications usually cause increased urination and, occasionally, kidney stones, according to the NIH. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and joint/muscle aches. Are you taking anything to help with your prostate issue?
