Is there valproic acid, divalproex sodium or phenytoin in clonazepam or lamotrigine, Tegretol, dilantin or phenobarbital ? Thank you for answer ## There is in the Phenytoin in the DIlantin, that's the active ingredient in it. The Tegretol contains the active ingredient Carbamazepine, it's an anticonvulsant. However, the others you listed, Clonazepam, Lamotrigine and Phenobarbital are all generics, so those are the active ingredients. Do you have a problem with the other medications?

This medication is most commonly known for treating seizures, migraine headaches and bipolar disorder. Valparin has also been evaluated for the treatment of AIDS and cancer, due to its histone deacetylase-inhibiting effects. Referenced from: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000677/#a682412-sideEffects Generally, this type of side effect won't go away until the medication is completely out of your system. But if you haven't already done so, I would suggest talking to your doctor about any other alternative treatment options that can replace Depakote. I hope this helps!
