Liver Enzymes Raised by Modafinil

I have major depression, which is only one out of 4 Mental Health diagnoses I have that disabled me since 1985. The major depression is resistant to treatment. I have been on so many combinations of anti-depressant, anti-psychotic and mood stabilizers that my Psychiatrists in the past and the one I go to now, did not know what to do. About 5 years ago, as a last resort, I was put on Provigil as a way to help me get motivated and not be depresses. I now take high doses of Modafinil, and my AST blood level for my liver is 40 (should be 10-35, and my ALT is 134 (should be 6-40. My Psychiatrist, PCP, and I have agreed that in my case, where I could do nothing for myself, had countless suicide attempts, and hardly ever got out of bed, quality of life is a priority--not quantity of life. I have a blue tablet with a ten on the back and what looks like hk on back. been told there 10mgs of valium ## Do you happen to know if it was from the U.S. or elsewhere? I am not finding anything in the U.S. prescription drug databases that matches this marking. The U.S. name brand Valium, manufactured by Roche actually says Valium on the tablet and has a cutout V. Some generic imprints for blue 10mgs of Diazepam include: Front: Z3927 Back: 10 Front: 10 Back: DAN 5620 Front: 2684 Back: V Front: barr Back: 555 164 Front 053 Back: R Front: 3593 Back: RUGBY And this is not a comprehensive list. ...

hi, am in my 35th week of my pregnancy and the amniotic fluid level from my scan report on 34th week was measured as 7.9, sunsequently my doctor had suggested to take a drip of Inj. Astymin M or Inj. Astymin 3 through Iv and i was told that this drip is to improvise the fluid level for a comnfortable delivery. but i am worried now since one of my neighbour told that taking this drip might have reactions in my body such as irritation and swollen throat, breathing discomforts, skin allergy etc..hence risky (their niece had suffered these problems during her delivery). it would be great if i can get this clarified through any of your experience / expertise. ## The Astymin infusions are actually nutritional supplements, there are some cases where the lack of proper nutrition, such as vitami... ...

Can taking debendox result in humans developing behavioural disorders that are cyclic in the way they present.my daughter(35yrs old now)can appear quite normal for weeks at a time then she will exhibit borderline pshchotic behaviour then after a few days she will be OK again. ## This contains Pyridoxine and Doxylamine, it isn't used in the U.S., so I have to admit my information on it is limited. Benazepril conversion to Lisinopril
2 Replies RSS
I have been taking Benazepril 10 mg for a while, and my doctor has changed me to Lisinopril but the new dosage is 40 mg, is this dosage comparable to the Benazepril or is this an increase in dosage? ## From what I can tell, it's a slight increase and the equivalent dosage would be around 25 to 35mgs, however, the switching of the medications also has to be taken under consideration. When you stop one of these abruptly and switch to another one, even one that's still in the same class, as was done here, there can be redound effects to your blood pressure, making it climb higher, so your doctor may have increased the dosage slightly to try to help control this. These are both ACE Inhibitors, so the side effects should be similar and may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and dr... ...

However, it would be more accurate to say that the Robaxin is the worst choice for you, because there are many other people that use it successfully. However, there is no medication on the market that works well for everyone that tries it, which is why there are usually several available in any given therapeutic category. Are there any comments or questions? ## very true Vernon I am positive for many people robaxin works good. ...

Telma-AM-H 80 versus Listril-SM and Tenoric 50
4 Replies RSS
I am 65 years old and hypertensive for last 30/35 years. I am under medication for long and presently taking Listril-SM tab and Stamlo 5, one each in the morning and Tenoric 50 one tablet at night. Recently one Cardiologist advised me to take one tab. Telma-AM-H 80 in the morning replacing the other medicines and also to replace Colsprin 100 with Ecosprin Gold 20. The problem is I tried Telma 40 and subsequently Telma-H a couple of years ago as per advise of a Cardilogist but it failed to maintain my blood pressure. On the contrary it shoots upto 190/100. The pressure becomes 140/80 after switching back to Listril-SM with addition of Stamlo 5. While Lisonopril seems to be suiting me why Cardilogists insisting on Telsartan ? Is this a better medicine or avoid using Tenoric ? ## I am 60 a... ...

Her BP is now 140/94. She has fallen, cannot stand alone, wet the bed once and wet on the floor once. She has no insurance and resisted, strongly, going to the ER. tri sprintec birth control for heavy period
2 Replies RSS
I am 37 yrs old my doctor prescribed sprentec to help with my heavy periods due to endometriosis. How long should it take before I see results? I have been on my period for 5 days and it has not showed any signs of slowing? ## Hi, Misty! How long have you been taking the Tri Sprintec? If you just started it a few days ago, when you started your period, then it's far too soon for it to have an effect. You most likely won't see any changed until your next period. Usually, heavy periods are caused by a deficiency in Progesterone and that is very common with endometriosis, your age can also play a role, since anovulatory cycles usually start around age 35. Since this contraceptive contains both a form of estrogen and progesterone, it may help with your heavy bleeding. ## Hello I wen... ...

Many of these ones with the higher amounts of B vitamins in them require a doctor's prescription, so you can't just grab them off the shelf. Have you tried asking your pharmacist?
