I take 120 pills of Valium 10 mg per month. They are prescribed. However, I am not the weening off type. I must stop cold turkey. When something is time released, cutting or breaking it could cause you to receive to much of the medication at once and there are some medications that are specially coated to prevent damage to the esophagus and stomach, which would be defeated by breaking/cutting the tablet. I know there's a lot of dodgy Vals about but i have a benzodiazepine problem and they're the only things that keep me going, but there's been a lot of deaths lately in the areas (lanarkshire / Glasgow). I used to get the same looking ones but from the military base & they were Watson or something like that... these are white in the middle... 15 or 20 years ago we seen brand name valium prescribed but these days all we see is the generic. ## Well, the main factor is that the generic is cheaper and, once a medication is available as a generic, most prescription insurance plans stop covering the name brand, due to the price differences. I have fibromyalgia, endo, pelvic floor dysfunction, cysts forming around my spine, 36 fibroids removed, a hystorectomy but still have my ovaries. The fibro is in my lungs and also the endo. VA doc has me on 2xwellbutrin hcl 150mg SA (VA Product)tabs a day - been on for 20 days. Side effects are kicking my butt. He said I can quit by taking 1 tab in the morning for 3 days and then just quitting - sounds 'cold turkey' to me. He also agreed that if I wanted to I could cut my dose back to a single tab in the AM. I see him again on June 9. Am I correct that 'SA' tabs cannot be divided? Hello everyone, Currently i am prescribed 16mg orally of dilaudid every 3-4 hours. I have just begun my 1st day of weaning myself off by cutting down to 14 mg for this next whole week, with the help of valium. I will continue to cut down like this until the last dose. Now i understand that this is an extremely high dose but im focusing on getting off of it and not worrying about how i got on it.
