does anyone know what this pill is used for as i found it in my sons room ## Hi cathy, Based on your description of the pill, I am finding that there is an imprint of BL 15 on a white round pill that is identified as Penicillin V potassium (250 mg). This is the most probable match I could locate, keeping your description in mind. Penicillin is a group of antibiotics derived from Penicillium fungi; and is used in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. To learn more information about this medication, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns about this being your pill, please post back so I can further assist you. ...

Anyone know what this pill is along with some sources to back it? ## Hi Jeff, From what I could gather, this is reportedly a 100 mg Atenolol Tablet, marketed under the brand name Tenormin. However, I'm finding that sources to back this up are scarce to come by, and I'm not sure why that might be unless it's a foreign or counterfeit medication. A comment in another thread had also mentioned what the diameter/size of the pill is supposed to be: Discuss/cyclobenzaprine-191970.htm Maybe that clue can at least be verified if you have a way to measure it. I hope this helps! ...

Found round white pill in brown cottle dated 1956. Rx #6052. Could be Valum. ## Hi James, How's it going? I just tried looking up the Rx number you provided, but after a few searches came to realize that this number can't actually be used to identify any pill in particular. I believe it's supposed to be a number the pharmacy might use within their realm of keeping track of prescriptions. However if you still happen to have the pill in your possession, I would encourage you to post back with any additional markings that might be on it as well. This way we can know for certain that it is what you say it is and not something else in the wrong bottle. I hope this helps and I'll look forward to hearing back from you! ...

Round White Pill With 5 Over 73
2 Replies RSS
What type of pill is this. It is round, white and has a 5 above the line and a 73 below the line. ## After trying several variations of "5 73" I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking if you think there's more to it than what you stated. Did you find this pill off the street by chance? Hopefully someone else on here has some information on it.... ...

i got these pills, i was told they are dilaudid, is this correct? because i took one by injection and it it made me puke all day...if someone could maybe help me out and tell me why they made me so sick. thanks ## These do contain 4mgs of Hydromorphone, the active ingredient in Dilaudid. However, nausea can be one of its side effects and since pills are not intended to be dissolved and injected, that probably explains why you were so ill. When you do that, you are injecting all of the medication, at once and it doesn't get a chance to dissolve slower, like it would if you swallowed the tablet. Are there any comments or questions? ## You either a) got cotton fever or b) the things you used to prepare with weren't sterile and you got bacteria in your blood stream. Either way you... ...

Found round white pill in brown bottle dated 1956. Rx #6052. Could be Valum. ## Hello, James! How are you? Unfortunately, the RX number only provides information to the pharmacist that filled the prescription, it is not a universal thing that can be used to identify anything. Being that they are that old, the likelihood of finding an identification is pretty slim, because it's probably something that isn't even manufactured anymore. Is there any other information on the label? Any markings on the pill? ...

I have chronic megraine headaches. I have used but/asa/caff for since 1976 without side affects. 100 pills last over 100 days. I am now 81 Is that use safe? ## Has your doctor advised you to make any changes? Do you have any stomach problems? Stomach problems are usually the first reason someone has problems with this medication, after using it for such a long period of time, due to the Aspirin in it. There can, of course, be other dangers associated with such long term use of any medication, but you should really discuss those with your doctor. And to be quite honest, at your age, it might be more practical to stick with the same medication, if it isn't causing any problems. It is often found that the older you get, the more sensitive you are to medications and their effects, so th... ...
