I am on pregabalin 300mg twice daily and the packets used to say pregabalin lyrica but this new batch says pregabalin teva. Are they the same or is one less effective? ## They are the same, just manufactured by different companies. I was having burning sensation at my back and later on my fingers and am diagnosed for fibromialgia .I am taking the above mentioned capsule for the past 3 months .How long shd I continue. Neither drug is metabolized to any sigificant extent, and despite their names, neither drug acts as a GABA analog, or has any affinity for the benzodiazepine binding sites at GABA receptors. i am 47 and have been on this drug twice a day for around 3yrs and since taking i have had muscles spasms, twitching,constipation,feeling high,but the drugs works well so am not sure whether to continue and put up with these side effects which can be quite annoying or check with doctor about changing the drug ? what do you think ## Is the only one in this drug class that you've tried? My wife got paralysis stroke on the left side of her face in May 2011 due to high BP. It was cured after hospital treatment.
