I've been on hydrocodone and morphine ER for many years. Last year I got up off of the morphine and was just taking hydrocodone. Now I have a scheduled surgery coming up on my back. My pain medication is not enough and I have seven days till I get my refill. I thought maybe I could resume my morphine ER, one in the morning and one at night, as I didn't finish that prescription when I stopped taking them. Will that be OK? ## What has your doctor advised? It is very important to take only medications that your doctor approves, especially before surgery. The FDA warns that opioids carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation. and dry mouth. How are you? Tazloc is not used to treat diabetes. It is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac diseases, but your doctor might have prescribed it to help protect your kidneys from the damage that diabetes can cause. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. How long PP are you getting this reading? I take percocets 7.5,but they dnt seem to work as well as before. Do I need to ask for an increase? I'm in serve/chronic pain all the time, and when the whether changes,my pain gets worser ## If you go to your doctor and flat out ask for an increase, they may view that as being drug seeking and refuse. The best thing to do would be to just inform them that this dose is no longer handling your pain and let them make suggestions from there. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If not and if you didn't use backup protection for that first week, then there is a chance you may be pregnant. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and weight gain. Andrela, have you had an exam done to check for pregnancy, yet? ## I am not pregnant.
