what is the use of glycomet 500 and GP2 and before or after

I am 62 been a diabetic for 7 years. Taking Gemer 1 before breakfast and glycomet 250 in the night after dinner. Now doctor has prescribed Glycomet GP2 morning and Glycomet 500 for night. The quarterly average sugar level was 7.75. 4 years ago and 7.45 2 years ago and it is 7.40 tested 2 weeks ago. If this is a good progress in reduced average why should i be prescribed a more powered medocone. Also i missed info of i should take the two tablets before or after food.
