Mu period was regular since last month..date to date..i am a 42 years old female.due to some skin allergy my doctor gave me defcort 24 mg dor 3 days single tablet daily,i am not getting my period this month now,its above 12 days now... ## Hello, Dimple! I m priya aged 28 yrs , got married 2 yrs ago (no kids ) Recently undergone Renal Transplantation on 25-10-11 , Doctor has prescribed to use Defcort 6mg - 4 tablets a day initially but now the dosage has been reduced to 3tablets a day .I want to know the side effects of using this medicine and the preventive measures to avoid them . How long is it safe to use them ?( A long with Defcort i m taking Vingraf 3.5 mg in a day and Mofilet s - (360 mg T.D)1080 mg a day . I have kidney problem with about 3.2 gm protein discharge daily. Doctor had suggested taking Prednisolone 120 mg A/D.With the first doze itself, I had serious chest pain. Later on another nephrologist suggested me taking Defcort 30 mg x 21/2 tablets daily. I am afraid due to the first exprience with Prednisolone. I am a heart patient having undergone angioplasty already. Please advise.I am also taking medicine for BP.and diabetese. ## Did the doctors say the chest pain was caused by the Prednisolone? If so, then that would be a good sign that it is not safe for you to use.
