My brother is working out of town and went to the hospital because he wasn't feeling well. apparently he had a seizure while in the hospital and they prescribed this medication to him. My past Dr. gave me lyrica and every since then I've had several seizures, 2 while driving, 5 times I woke up in the middle of the night sleeping on my picnic table. One of my car accidents I was having a seizure and I drove up three electrical wires. My husband said that I had brought in glasses of gasoline a few times and I woke up in my driveway and split the back of my head open. Hi, my son is 8 yrs old and he had a seizure attack 2 times (in Jan 2015 and Nov 2016) and he is taking Levipil 500 mg, but before his second attack he had taken 250 mg, then the doctor increased it to 500mg. Could you please tell me how long this medicine should be taken for or when it should be stopped? It's been almost 2 years so far. ## If he has epilepsy, he may need to take this medication, or another one for the rest of his life to help prevent dangerous seizures. There is nothing wrong with it, so he should take it, as long as his doctor deems it safe for him to do so. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight gain. Is he on any other medications?

I have BiPolar as well as epilepsy. I been using Lamictin (250Mg) since 2003. I have change to Epitec (250Mg)a month ago. First thing I want to tell people, go and let a medical practioner check your lamictin level. It should be between 4 and 12. So you can know how much to use. I also used Epanuitin (300Mg) before Lamictin. It gave me bumps in my fore arms thats why I change to Lamictin. Lamictin did not give me headaches but I got disorientated from time to time. Lamictin also are very influeinced by alcohol while it seems epitec are more tollerant. However I prefer Lamictin, the side effects are more acceptable. Anger cost at the end more. What can you tell me about Degranol side effects? I have been on these tablets for 18 months now using 600mg a day. I have gained a lot of weight. I sufferer from major depression. I do not have epilepsy or other symptoms related to epilepsy. I find lately that my mouth gets dry and I seem to get a sore throat but it feels as if I'm getting tonsillitis on the right side of my throat. Gabapentin is also used to help relieve certain types of nerve pain, and may be prescribed for other nervous system disorders.
