My doctor is going to test my fentanyl levels in 9 days. I had to throw one away it kept falling off today. My husband puts on my fentanyl patches for me because i can not reach my back. He had also woke up with one of my patches stuck to his arm which came off some time when we were sleeping. He takes percocet only but when he went into take a urine test it came back positive for fentanyl and percocet. The patch that was stuck to his arm was a patch that was already on me for almost 2 days. Why would he show positive for fentanyl. I have chewed little pieces of my fentanyl patch to help with immediate pain relief. However I see the pain management doctor in 4 days and will have to take a urine test. I have put one on my arm and am not chewing onthem however, will my levels be off and cause me to fail the test or will the fentanyl I used orally be out of my system by then? I was wearing my Fentanyl patch 100mcg on the day of the test and was changing every 48 hours and had no gaps in therapy of the patch. Was on oxycodone 10mg for breakthrough pain and neither showed up on a urine serum test. I couldn't pee at the office, so was sent to the hospital. The drugs that showed up were my anxiety meds. And it says my fentanyl and oxycodone were not. I took a tablet that morning before the office visit and was wearing my damned patch. They are a VERY, VERY strong opiate narcotic, so any screening done for opiates WILL come up positive if you are using these. ## No they do not on a standard urine test, they are a different synthetic and are delivered in small micrograms.
