Urine Screen For Dilaudid

I take one 2mg Dilaudid at night at 7pm regularly with one 50mg Amitriptyline and two 500mg of Tylenol. When I saw the Dr the next morning he wanted a urine test. He said that he could not detect the presence of Dilaudid in my urine. Why is this so? ## I Googled my dilemma and the result was the reason, that the hydomorphone 2mg was (short acting) which would be out of the system in 6 hrs ## Concerning my previous post, I had printed out my research and showed it to the Dr. He was satisfied with that.

I took one 5 mg. Dilaudid on Tuesday at around 8-9pm in the evening. I was just called in, with a 24 hour window, to do a RANDOM urine screen at my methadone clinic. I have to be there by Friday at 11 am. I know the standard is 4-5 days, but I have read that it can be out of your system at 3 days as well. If I drink a lot of water, and take vitamins (so that my urine will not be too clear, and this does work at my particular clinic) do I stand a chance of providing a CLEAN sample. I need to know why this is not showing up on my urine test. i have had about five tests and they all come out negative. ## I take 2 mg of Dilaudid almost every evening for chronic pain & 2 mg of Clonazapam at bedtime each night. I had severe diarrhea from magnesium for 3 wks to 4 wks. I was in ER x2 for dehydration, nausea, vomiting & diarrhea. Then stopped the magnesium for 4 days then started it again, the same symptoms returned again but diarrhea seemed worse this time. My Mag, K+,chem profile and kidney labs were all abnormal. BUN, creatnine, & chloride and a few others were very high, doc said I had AKI. After taking a single 1 mg oral dilaudid dose, how soon would it be detected in a urine screen? ## Hi Kip, Dilaudid can be detected in your urine for up to 2-4 days after your last dose. Since you only took 1 pill, I can only speculate that you'd fall somewhere on the lower end of that estimated time frame. my drug screen came back positive for dilaudid which i have never taken. i do take loratab & soma along with blood preesure meds and statins. i have also been taking antibiotics & nyquill, dayquill, & alkaseltzer cold plus for bronchitis. could this make the test come back positive? ## In this case, it may have been the NyQuil, it has been shown to cause false positives for many substances on drug tests, including various opiates. Dialudid contains Hydromorphone, so it is an opiate narcotic and the NyQuil may explain it. And the Soma can even test positive for Morphine. I hope this information helps! My sister sees a pain management doctor and is perscribed dilaudid 4mg every 4 hours, but 2 days before her appointment she ran out due to being more pain than usual. I am a 32 yr. old female who is on methadone maitnance. I did 8 dilaudid yesterday and had a drug test today. Someone told me that dilaudid shows up as methadone on a drug screen, is that true or will I loose my take home status for being dirty? ## what happened? ## She likely tested positive for hydromorphone. I went to my pain doctor today, and received a drug screen. I only take diluadid 2mg 2ce a day and took one about an hour and a half before I went to the doctor. When I went back into the room with the nurse practioner she said I failed my drug screen for Morphine and Codine. I've not taken anything but dilaudid and also neuroton that they prescribe me. I have an appointment with my pain clinic Friday at 4pm. I've been seeing pain drs for many yrs due to several severely painful immune related diseases & rarely get uaed, but this will be the 1st time I'll see this particular dr so am not sure if I will this time. Most tests don't look for benzodiazepines. It depends on your activity level, diet,(fatty foods are bad), water intake, and metabolism. I been taking 4 10 mg. loratab for years for broke back. This month I ran out. I got urine test in 5 days will it still be in my system as needed for urine test? ## The chances of hydrocodone (lortab) being detected in urine after not taking for 5 days is slim to none.
