Since uric acid is considered an antioxidant that lowers the occurrence of free radicals one could assume that uric acid decreasing substances like Allopurinol should increase cancer incidence? Has anyone done any studies? Are there any databases to look for any correlation? If Allopurinol does not give cancer then the only argument against keeping the current level of uric acid in blood is invalidated.
