Can you tell me if this drug is legitimate? it is packaged as V C Don, mfd. in India by a Vax pharmaceuticals. my grandmother was prescribed 10 mg hydrocodone in a blister pack by hospice. they are dark blue capsules and have absolutely no marks on them. has anyone ever seen these out there? ## These are most likely specially made for her by a compounding pharmacy, which is why they are unmarked and in the blister packs. Many hospices or large hospitals have one on site or nearby to be able to order specialty mediations for their patients. The manufactured formulations all couple the Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, so it has to be specially ordered to just get the Hydrocodone by itself. I have a red unmarked capsule. Was told it's a 15mg hydrocodone. They said they had to be special made. Is this true? Is it a 15mg or could it be more? ## Hello, Rose! How are you? A doctor can order a special formulation of any given prescription medication, which would then need to be made by a compounding pharmacy, but in general, they use plain white or clear, unmarked capsules. My dad takes for chronic pain. Found unmarked containers in his meds want to make sure they are hydrocodone 5 MG before he takes. White oblong similar to hydrocodone but thinner - no markings - sent from Chennai India - refilled my Vicodin prescription from a Canadian pharmacy. ## If there are no markings on the tablets, then I am afraid there is no way to positively identify it, unless you would pay to have it lab tested. It may be what you ordered or it may be something entirely different. This is one of the hazards of ordering from foreign sources. ## So, if the oblong, white pill is unmarked, but COULD still be hydrocodone, that must mean that SOME hydrocodone is, in fact, unmarked. I have a bright pink pill w orange\yellow powder. It is supposed to be a very strong norco but I'm not 100% Sure what it is?? Any advice? Or help ## Are there any markings on it? If not, then that means it's going to be difficult to determine exactly what the capsule contains.
