I just started taking topamax and I never seen this "twice daily x7 1wk" before. What does this mean? ## Usually, this medication is prescribed to be taken in 2 divided doses a day, which means at separate times, and it is normally titrated up, so I believe the meant that you should take this dosage twice a day for 7 days, then move on to the next, or check in with your doctor to see how it is working for you, according to FDA directives. But, overall, it would be best to double check with your doctor, or pharmacist. Are you on any other medications? ## My prescription says "two to be taken four times a day". Does this mean I take 8 a day? I am confused. Can someone please help? I don’t wanna overdose.

child wt. 10 kg How much Benadryl can I give>> ## can we use trace elements alone without TPN in pediatric patients? if yes, how can we administer it? ## Hello, Here are the suggested dosage instructions from the Benadryl website. Children under 4 years: Do not use Children 4 to 5 years: Do not use unless directed by a doctor Children 6 to 11 years: 5mL Adults and children 12 years and over: 10mL According to the kids data organization the average 2 year old weighs 12kg so I am going to make the assumption that your child is likely less than 4 years old and with that in mind I suggest that you do not give your child any Benadryl. If your child is having symptoms you believe require Benadryl please consult your pediatrician for the options that would work best for you and your ch...

I had recently undergone a pelvic surgery and since then there has been a hard swelling above the incision site, and my doctor prescribed chymoral tablets to take for 10 days. After I finished the tablets, it has reduced a little but the swelling is still there and remains hard after 3 weeks. My doctor said I should start taking it again. So my question is, can I still take chymoral tablets immediately after 10 days of prior use?

My dentist proscribed me amoxicillin for my gums. He proscribed 250g three times a day. I have been taking it twice a day for several days. Any serious complications from this? ## Under dosing an already low dose may not be the best idea, unless you're using other natural alternatives as an adjunct therapy. Reason being is that if you don't kill the infection, it can become more resistant and harder to kill the next time around. So you may want to continue taking it as prescribed if this is a concern to you. How long has your doctor prescribed it to you for? Most antibiotics like this are generally prescribed for up to 7-10 days, depending on the type & severity of the infection. A 250mg dose indicates that your infection may not be very serious, otherwise they probably woul...

I am inquiring about double dosing loratab 10 mg' s. I have taken 1 every 6 hours as my Dr. prescripted. I asked him if in times of intolerable pain if I could double the dose, He advised against it. However; I tried this anyway, needless to say really, I CAUTION YOU DO NOT DRIVE UNDER THIS CONDITION!! After about 30 minutes I felt like I was laying on floating cloud suspended in the air. I took the loritabs at 7pm, last thing I remember was getting real drowsy then waking up at about 10:30 the next morning. I told my Dr. about what I'd done. He started with the other harmful effects, such as liver and heart damage and other vital organs. His biggest concern was !!ADDICTION!! Now I only take what I'm prescribed. I will also say that was the best pain free night of what I rem...

Wondering if MD has used an appropiate substitution or not. I also take a full dosing of NSAIDS. ## Which one was substituted for the other? I'm not quite understanding from the title of your post. And the most operative question is really....how is the change working for you? While there are some conversion standards, it is generally more important to individualize it and customize it to the patient and how they respond to a medication, plus their tolerance levels.

How to be taken? Just to swallow or to place under upper lip on gum? ## The square green pill in description is Pravastatin sodium (40 mg); used for lowering cholesterol and preventing cardiovascular disease. The dosing and administration guidelines list the following instructions: "Pravastatin comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Take pravastatin at around the same time every day." Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a692025.html It sounds like you can simply swallow it with some water; otherwise it should mention more detailed instructions than that. I hope this helps!

is taking the pill form 5mg piolcarpine, 4 times a day the same as taking it by injection? ## Hi yolie, To my understanding, the answer to your question is no. Differences in the interval timing of your dosing as well as the absorption rate and how it's metabolized, would all likely be enough to render a different reaction to each form of administration. Additionally, different binders and fillers that are be present in the tablets may not necessarily be there in the form of an injection. Inactive ingredients in the tablet, the tablet's film coating, and polishing are: carnauba wax, hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, titanium dioxide and more... I'm not sure what other ingredients might be found in the injection vs the tablet, but I can be sure that they...

DAILY DOSAGE ## Tylox contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, a narcotic pain reliever. The normal daily dosing is one every 6 to 8 hours, as needed for pain. It is very important to not exceed this, as too much Acetaminophen in a day can be toxic. You have to stay under 4,000mgs of it in a day. Is ampicillina used for thootach ## Hi Kenisha, From what I understand, if the toothache is being caused by a bacterial infection, then yes, an antibiotic like Ampicillin should work fine. In most cases one tablet is usually taken four times a day, every 6 hours. However, I would still recommend following your doctors instructions for proper dosing and administration of the drug, since bacteria can become resistant when it's not fully eradicated the first time around. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Ampicillin Details I hope this helps!
