im am trying to get off painkillers no doctor will help i have 4 kids i need to worry about is there any place to buy suboxone leagly ## Unfortunately the only legal way to get Suboxone is through a prescription from your doctor. If you're trying to wean off I would highly recommend visiting a pain management doctor or specialist as opposed to a regular MD, since they are generally less reluctant to prescribe the types of medications. For more information on doctors in your area that are known for prescribing Suboxone and other related medications, I'd recommend checking out the the link below: buprenorphine-doctors.com/find-a-doctor.cfm I hope this helps! ## hi, i am assuming you are a woman, a mom of 4 children, looking to get off of opiates...i agree with david...i myself hav...

Yes I live in Ohio I am an oppiate addict who is on disability ive been through it all i want to know if Ohio Disability ssd covers anything the meds or the visits to the doctors? ## Hi Gene, Based on my research, the Social Security Administration (SSA) webpage for some reason, does not actually list any of the types of services or disability that it supposedly covers. Basic information about the program can be found in the following pdf document. But I have yet to find specific details on coverage: ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10029.pdf However, from the looks of things, it seems like your best bet at this point would be to either contact the SSA directly regarding their coverage, or to discuss any type of disability information with your doctor. Reason being is that every doctor may have diffe...

This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Suboxone details here. It's been proven scientifically and medically that some people are born with a genetic predisposition to have addictive tendencies. Learn more Suboxone details here. They can fight it, of course, if they are aware that they are prone to it, or know that it tends to run in their immediate family, but it is never easy. Just seeing if anyone had free trails of suboxone ot cheap coupons.im from Alaska I pay cash no insurance 700.00 s month ## Hi Kristy, If you're trying to save money on your medication, I would recommend looking into various prescription drug 'discount cards' that you can print off from your computer and show your pharmacy at the time of filling your script. A simple google search should bring up some options for you in that area. Another alternative would be to ask your pharmacy if there are any "patient assistance programs" for Suboxone. From what I understand, there are certain drug manufacturers who offer these types of programs for patients who otherwise can't afford their medication. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Suboxone Details I hope...

Hello, I have been on suboxone and recently my doctor prescribed me neurontin... Will I feel the neurontin or will the suboxone just block them out? Thanks! ## Neurontin is not an opiate, so the Suboxone won't block it. It is actually classified by the FDA as an anticonvulsant that can help with certain types or nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and weight gain. You should not take them both, unless your doctor is aware that you are taking both and has specifically instructed you to do so, because it may be dangerous, if your doctor isn't monitoring you carefully and hasn't adjusted the dosages. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon is spot on neurontin willnot give you any ...

I am a pain killer addict. I was addicted to Lortabs for about 7-8 years. I began seeing a new doctor & was prescribed Suboxone 2/.5 mg & was on that until about 6 months ago when I was changed to Buprenorphine due to it being cheaper. My question is, I have become increasingly depressed & dealing with anxiety as well as becoming very withdrawn & moody. Could that be a side effect of this medication? It helps so much & I don't want to stop taking it but I need to know. Thank you in advance. ## That was supposed to say I was addicted to Lortabs NOT Mortars. Stupid auto-correct. Sorry. ## No worries, I've had some amusing autocorrects myself, especially on my iPad. And yes, all narcotics can cause these types of issues as side effects. I remember when I was on ...

I took a small amount of a 2 mg suboxone strip about an hour ago. I didn't want to take it, but my friend is one of those pushy types who insisted. It was roughly between 1-2 milligrams... I went in my bedroom and spit into a cup for a few minutes without him knowing. If i take a little Roxy for my back problems in an hour or so, will I feel it? Thanks ## Hello, Marcus! How are you? Giving into peer pressure can be very dangerous. Really, you've no way of knowing if what they're giving you is actually what they claim it is, they could be giving you something very dangerous. Suboxone is also listed by the FDA as containing Buprenorphine and Naloxone, so it is very potent and most commonly used to treat drug addiction. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to b...

I was on suboxone 45 days, to help, with withdrawal if methadone. I had completely tapered myself off of methadone but, the withdrawal s was just to much to function... So I had almost an entire script of suboxone 8 milligram strips left. I taper down to .25 milligrams. My doctor told me it would be ok to start naltrexone 3 days after I stopped the suboxone. He said to take 1/4 of a 50 milligram pill. WOW that was cray it sent me straight into precipitated withdrawal... Now I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP. ## Have you informed your doctor of what happened? Usually, they do have you wait 72 hours, which means a full 3 days, taking nothing until the 4th day. What types of symptoms are you having? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including naus...

I've been taking only 1mg or less of suboxone for a little over 2 months. I've been off of it for 5 days now but I felt so crappy I had to take a few hydrocodone 10mg each day to get through work. Will this only prolong the suboxone wothdrawls or is it ok to take a few just until the major withdrawls from the subs last? Please help! I don't want to make this process any worse than it has to be ## Hello, Lilly! How are you? You should really get professional help with this issue, that would be the best thing to do. If you continue taking several Hydrocodone tablets each day, you're may just end up trading one addiction for another, which could create an even worse mess for yourself. What types of symptoms were you experiencing? ## I was taking only 2 or 3 hydrocodone 10 a...

Can a Methadone patient detox with Suboxone and what mg dose do they need to do if they are currently on 30 mg Methadone a day? And what's the procedure? Like, do they have to taper the Methadone down first, and by doing, so do they go through any withdrawal symptoms? ## Each individual is likely going to have a very different withdrawal experience due to several factors, such as tolerance to pain, reaction/tolerance to these types of medications, one's body chemistry, mental fortitude, and so forth... However it doesn't really sound like you'd be detoxing (withdrawing) much at all if your just going from one synthetic opiate to another. (Suboxone and Methadone are both used to treat patients with opioid dependency or addiction). The only thing I would strongly recommend...

How long will the nausea last. I took half a pill of suboxone and rabout an hour later, I threw up and wazs dizzy as hell. I still feel sick and I don't kknow what to do. I don't normally take this kinda pill and bhave never been addicted to opiates ## Well Suboxone actually contains 2 active ingredients, Buprenorphine and Suboxone. That means that there are several possible reasons that this may have happened. One is due to the fact that the Buprenorphine is a very potent narcotic and it can cause the types of things you've described as a side effect, especially if you aren't used to taking it. Another reason could be due to the Naloxone, it is in this medication to neutralize other opiates and prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it, thus if you had...

Is there any form of medicaid in Michigan that will cover office visits and prescriptions for suboxone? ## @hhhbk2469, Looking at the 2014 Preferred Drug List for Michigan's Medicaid Coverage (linked below), I didn't see Suboxone listed on there. However it appears as though Methadone is; in case your doctor recommended that as an alternative. michigan.fhsc.com/PDL_20141220f.pdf Everyone responds to these types of medications differently though, so at the end of the day I just think it's best to do what feels right for yourself, and if that means holding out for Suboxone through some other type of coverage then that may be something to talk with your doctor about to see if he/she can help recommend a different program that does cover the type of med(s) you require. I hope th...

please help me identify this drug and what it is used for ## This capsule contains 300mgs of Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Learn more Gabapentin details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I think they do help with withdraws but don't know if you can then get addicted to the gabapentin? I was put on suboxone. Which will NOT make you feel high if you are taking pain pills etc.. They took away that urge. Maybe talk to your Dr. & see what he/she says. MY opinion they saved my life. . son alledly robbed drug store after 6 days without availibility of Soboxon. Can this cold turkey withdrawl cause a person to rob a drug to obtain Suboxone? ## Hi Ron, Sorry to hear about what happened with your son. Based on what I've seen in other Suboxone-related threads here, this drug can influence serious personality changes. They are, however, not usually regarded as 'severe' unless the medication is being heavily abused. Some personality changes may also be a result of withdrawal symptoms, but the only types of people you hear about robbing places to get their fix are those who feel they are in grave danger without it. So I can only imagine that he must've had an extremely high tolerance to even reach that point of withdrawal. Do you know whether or not your son w...

I've had chronic pain for fifteen years and been on many types of medications, opiate and non-opiate. When I changed insurance and couldn't see my regular doctor, I ran out of fentanyl patches and oxycodone. I had never abused my medication, but after going through a few days of horrible withdrawals, I became desperate and made the dumb mistake of trying H. That was three months ago and I'm too ashamed and embarrassed to attempt to try a new pain specialist. I did go to a suboxone clinic for about a week, but the pain was too unbearable and I went back to the dope. I have really bad veins, plus I'm not good at inj's. so I have bad bruises and marks. I want to get on legitimate pain meds, even methadone if that's all I can get. I can't go on like this anymore ...

I have 5 kids and methadone actually gives me my quality of life back! I need an understanding doctor asap! So many suffer from chaotic pain, they need to start prescribing for...

I have been on Suboxone for 7 years. I just switched to generic Subutex for financial reason. After 2 weeks on the generic Subutex, I have deveoped sever puritus on the back of my thighs and buttocks. I am pretty sure that the Subutex is the cause, as I have eliminated anything else. Little itchy bumps, all over these areas, but they are not red. ## Hi, Terry! Sorry about the problem you're having. I've had similar reactions myself from allergies over the years, so I know it can be pretty miserable. It's hard to say from just the information in your post, but usually pruritus as a result of a drug reaction is accompanied by a rash. I really think you should have your doctor look at it to be sure. It can happen due to various types of allergies, so it could be that it's u...
