I took a tylenol 3 at 6pm can I take a Norco 10 at 9:00? ## Hello, Jo! How are you? It would be best to only take them as prescribed. Taking them too close together could result in Acetaminophen overdose toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You can take Tylenol 3 and Norcos at the same time. I read this post and they say not to cause of an acetaminophen (Tylenol) overdose. So if you take a Norco it's has 325mgs of acetaminophen and a Tylenol 3 has 300mgs of acetaminophen so that is a grand total of 625mgs of acetaminophen. Do you know when you take 2 regular tylenols that...

I have cancer and was prescribed to take 3 pills every three hours. By mistake I took 4 pills thinking they were 1 mg and they are 2 mg. Is there anything I can do to delete the dosages? ## This medication is hydromorphone ## You can't delete a dosage, only time will take care of that. That's not an inordinately high dosage, but if you aren't opiate tolerant, it could cause problems or overdose. Did you suffer any ill effects? The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## You should be just fine even though you lack any real tolerance. You have not ingested enough to cause any type of overdose. You may feel slightly woozy...

I have really bad rheumatoid arthritis and bad knees had one replaced have been on hydrocodone but now doctor is trying to get me to go off of that or at least go down to three a day this would work during the day but then at night I can’t sleep because of paint so can I take Tylenol p.m. to sleep at night ## If you are taking Hydrocodone that also contains Acetaminophen, it would be best not to add the Tylenol, since it also contains Acetaminophen, which could result in your experiencing Acetaminophen toxicity, and it has been known to be fatal. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. What has your physician advised to help with your insomnia issues?

My dentist prescribed Tramadol hcl 50mg, Ibuprofen 800 mg and Tylenol for tooth pain. I am concerned about taking all three of them at once because I drive a school bus. Safety is my concern for kids as well as my own. ## Yes & No--you can take/do anything as long as "nothing goes wrong" 100% if you have an accident there will be a blood drawn even if it is absolutely not even your fault --so read your employment manual --you may be totally legally prohibitted. Regardless, see how it effects you BEFORE your maiden vouyage on meds. Take the tramadol during the day-- it's so low dose I can't imagine you having a problem ! Codeine makes a person sleepy -- I would not take that during the day while driving if you've not taken medication before save that one for bedti...

My sister is on a BP med "Enalapril" for the past couple of years. She has recently started taking Tylenol Arthritis tabs. Are there any indications of drug interaction from this combination? She is 72 years old. ## She should check with her doctor, or pharmacist to be certain, but there are no interactions listed. The Tylenol Arthritis just contains a time released formulation of Acetaminophen, which is actually one of the safer medications for a high blood pressure patient to use. ## At age 60, I am concerned of the risk of organ damage (liver / kidney) from long term use of tylenol or ibuprofen for arthritis pain. So much so that I generally take good old aspirin, 3 tabs two or three times a day. My stomach is fine, I don't bleed easily. My blood pressure med is Atacand 3...

Had a tooth extracted and I took two 500 mg of Tylenol. Can I take a 5 325 Vicodin three hours later? ## Yep drink water ## Hi Mark! You just need to be careful of the amount of Tylenol ( acetaminophen) you take. It gives you instructions on the Tylenol bottle as to how much you can take. Remember that the Vicodin has 325 mgs in it too, from what you said. ## If you take more than 650 mg of tylenol, you have to wait at least 6 hrs before taking any more tylenol, that includes the Vicodin. Do not take more than 1,000 tylenol every 6 hrs or more than 4,000 tylenol is a 24 hr period.

I took three of them as soon as I got them ,I can't really tell I've taken anything. I'm wondering if I should take a few more because I have a hot tolerance due to cancer I'm terminally ill. ## Hello, Michelle! How are you? No, the Codeine in this is actually a very weak/mild narcotic and you cannot keep taking multiples, due to the risk of Acetaminophen toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If your current prescribed dose isn't helping your pain, you should contact your doctor so you can try something else. I'm sorry about your diagnosis and wish you the best. Iam a 65yo male with osteogenisis imperfecta, scoliosis, osteoarthritis,IBS,hypertension etc. I had both knees replaced 22 years ago. Recently an increase in pain in L hip prompted my PC Doc to do the mscontin thing. I was already on the 60mg's codeine 3 times a day. This has been great, finally i can walk around pretty much pain free most of the day. I just wondering about all that tyelnol, because its been about 30 or 40 years taking tyelnol and I'm worried about my liver. What else would be good.for BTP. I dont see my doc for another three weeks and I would just like to get some input. ## Hello, Rickey! How are you? There are other options you can use for breakthrough pain that don't have Acetaminophen/Tylenol in them, such as a regular release Morphine or Oxycodone. You may...

I broke my foot and I'm in severe pain. What I have is called a lisfranc fracture. I was on Tylenol threes and they didn't help and then I got hydrocodone 5 - 3 - 5 and they didn't help the last thing I tried was Oxycodone 5 325 and they still didn't really take the pain away. So I asked my doctor for something that would help the pain and he prescribed me Tramadol 50 mg. I am apprehensive to get it filled and try it because I'm not reading anything positive about it. Please help! What is the next thing I should ask for if Oxycodone 5 325 isn't helping with my pain? I don't like that it has so much Tylenol in it I would rather have something just for the pain that doesn't include Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Please advise if you can. thank you! ## While being a ...

I take Norco 7.5's three times a day for Crohn's disease the constipation is wonderful for me!! I worry about the Tylenol, is there something safer, but effective and with the side effect of constipation? ## Hello, Yankee! How are you? Yes, there are many opiates available that might work for you, but don't include Tylenol/Acetaminophen. Some examples are Tramadol, Oxycodone, Morphine and Codeine. You could try asking your doctor about switching. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and you may also experience other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I had a work injury back in 2012 and now have three herniated discs and nerve problems. I have been to pain management who have done injections and radiofrequency ablations but with little success. I can't take Ibuprofen due to a bypass and reflux issues and tylenol doesn't help. I was being given Vicodin but now no doctor will prescribe it due to all the new laws and problems with abuse and addiction. I have been faithful to my primary and pain management doctor and even have my insurance on board to make sure I am a faithful patient and not an abuser. So I am in desperate need to find a doctor who doesn't tell me to go home, put ice, heat and rest or take tylenol. I have tried all the options besdes surgery which I was told wasn't the best option due to my age. Ple...

I have been on Viibryd (40 mg) for 6 months and for the last three weeks I have not slept more than one or two hours per night. I do not drink or smoke. My doctor started me off on 15 mg's of melatonin, when that did not work she prescribed Ambien. The Ambien has not worked. I have tried taking Zzzquil, Tylenol PM's and even Benedryl, but nothing at all works. I am frustrated all the time because I can not sleep. I have noticed that the medication is not working anymore, but I expected that the third night that I was not able to sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions? ## That is very unusual, because medications in this class usually cause somnolence and drowsiness. Learn more Viibryd details here. There are three different pills. One is round in shape with the numbers 44 438 on one side only. The second one isround on shape on one side there are the letters F, L, and the number 20 on the flip side. The last one is oval shape, with the word watson and the number 385. ## 44 438.... is it green in colour? green is 1mg klonopin, different colouirs are different dosages. Watson 385 is 10mg hydrocodone 325mg tylenol.. ## To add an FYI: Tablets with the number 44 followed by three additional numbers are not Klonopin, or any other type of prescription medication. They are over the counter products. They are manufactured by LNK international, and they do not manufacture prescription products. The one with the 44 438 marking contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen in a dye free formulation. It is a g...

Hello Everyone! I will try to make this thread as short as I can. I got degenerative disc disease three years ago. I have been on Hydro 10/325 ever sense. Which worked wonders for me. I went to my Dr this week and found out i now have an elevated liver. Sign of to much Tylenol. I then went the next day to my PM Dr. and he prescribed me Norco. I told him about the elevated liver issue. Which i know I told him about. I called my PM Dr today and he said i did not tell him about the elevated liver. But, I have seen him for going almost 4 years. He RXed me Norco 10/325's. I thought that was odd but, trusted in him that he knew what he was doing. I had to take 3 Norco's that night and my pain never went away. Thankfully I still had 20 Hydros left from last month. I have researched on ...

I have Osteoarthritis, possibly Fibromyalgia, and two knees that are bone-on-bone and need replacement. Even though I take Tramadol 300 ER daily and Arthrotec, 2 Tylenol, and 2 Aleve three times a day, I am still in pain. Forgetting to take meds or being out of meds for a day causes unbelievable aches everywhere except my fingers, elbows and toes. I cannot work and cannot sleep. I also get very emotional and angry and my BP goes up. I will soon be having my first knee replaced. The doctor said I will need to be off all the pain meds except for Tylenol. I do not believe I can do this. A couple times the doctor has given me steroids when I was having a flare up and it completely eliminated the swelling and pain. What medications could I safely take in the 2 weeks prior to knee replacement...

WHITE, OVAL ## I am sorry, I cannot find a listing for this in any of our resources. What I can tell you, however, is that pills marked with an L followed by three additional numbers are over the counter products. This company makes many store brands and generics of common items such as Tylenol, Aleve and Advil. There is just no comprehensive database of OTC items and their markings. Does anyone else recognize this? ## I just submitted an inquiry with Leiner Health Products, whom I believe to be the manufacturer. Hope that they will get back to me ASAP, and I will post any other details as I find them as well!

Was looking through my meds for Tylenol for arthritis & back pain (deteriorating spinal column) and found a vial of white oblong pills with L583 on one side. Are these Tylenol? ## I found pills meeting that description in my container of Kirkland Acetaminophen 650 mg. (Arthritis Pain relief) pills. ## From what I understand all of the imprints with "L" followed by three digits (e.g. L484, L583, etc) are indicative of various over-the-counter products; often manufactured by LNK International Inc. As far as the pill identity is concerned, it could be Acetaminophen as post #1 suggested, but I just came across a Kirkland Acetaminophen 650mg pill with a National Drug Code of 63981-544 that bears an imprint: L544 as opposed to L583.
