Taking 5/325 hydrocodone & ancetamin for fractures in leg & arm. Even though this is small dose I am experiencing itchy face & some shallow breaths or longer time between breaths. I notice this at night . Only been on med for a week but read that these side affects are dangerous. Now afraid to continue pain control with these pills. I was wondering if this is because I take zoloft at nite with the pain med? The pain can get severe so dont know what to take anymore. ## Hello, Mickact! How are you doing? Has there been any change? I think it would be best to consult your doctor, because yes, those could be danger signs, and you might need to switch to a different medication. The FDA lists the typical opiate side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mo...

Are there any side effects when taking this medication ? ## Yes, every medication has side effects, from Tylenol to Narcotics. ## You got that right! However, not all people experience side effects. For example, I cannot take NSAIDS because I get an almost immediate stomach bleed, but my other siblings have absolutely no side effects to them at all. Were you thinking of a particular medication and possible side effects?

Had my first infusion of Reclast last Thursday and have been a wreck ever since. Take Tylenol - hell second night I was taking the Norco I was prescribed when I broke my collar bone, which lead to the osteoporosis diagnosis!!!! Now I'm worried sick that I will have to take days off work as I don't know how I will be able to work feeling like crap. I also need to have a crown re-done next month, and I was never told anything about dental work needing to be done before the infusion. I work in healthcare and to be honest I "trusted" my doc - who never spent the time to discuss all these side effects with me. I should have known better! I have so many other health issues I'd rather just give up. ## Hello, Tami! How are you? I'm so sorry about what's happened. Are...

What type of pain relievers would I be able to take for the side effect(headaches) when taking Lisinop Hctz for my hypertnsion? ## You may want to check with your doctor, to be on the safe side, before taking anything, but I know when I was taking those and even continuing now, with my other blood pressure medications, my doctor has instructed me to only use Acetaminophen/Tylenol. I also checked the interactions database and there is nothing listed that it can cause a problem, when used with the Lisinopril-HCTZ. In most cases, when you have hypertension, they want you to stay away from the NSAIDs, such as Ibuprofen and Naproxen, because they can actually cause fluid retention, which can lead to other medical issues, such as Congestive Heart Failure. Are there any other questions?

what is the long term effect on your liver and other organs? I have had C-3 C-4 fusion 1986. L-4 L-5 fusion 2011. I have had shoulder surgery in 05.I'am taken oxycodone 7.5/500mg 3xa day and dilaudid 4mg 4 x a day and gabapentin 600mg 4x a day. He tells me that on a long term that oxycodon with out the tylenol in it will effect my liver. so why did he give me something with 500mg of Tylenol in it? just don't under stand. LOST ## I am not sure I understand why he would do that, either. The Acetaminophen is far more dangerous to your liver than the Oxycodone by itself. Learn more Percocet details here. I guess the better question is what type of doctor are you seeing? Is it a pain specialist or a general practitioner?

Since Actavis acquired Watson I have experienced GI issues, headaches, and nausea from the 10/325 Oxycodone that is now replacing the Watson brand. I can NOT believe that the FDA would allow this replacement when the effectiveness is so very extreme. Something needs to be done. ## Mad310, about your 10/325 oxycodone/acetaminophnen (tylenol), first, I am not a doctor and please don't take this as advice from a doctor. It's more like a book report from stuff I've read. I'll just mention that any of these "opiates" (the entire class of meds that come from the opium plant, hence the name) have the effect of slowing down the digestive tract. Different people have told me the effects vary according to the opiate (oxycodone didn't stop things up as much as hydrocodo...

I would like to know the difference is it the same ## Hello, Crissy! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 60mgs of Codeine and 300mgs of Acetaminophen, so yes, it is just a generic. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. He took eventually 35 pills of 500mg of acetaminophen total of 17,500mg and he is trying to puke them out..what should i do? ## Hello, Hunny! How is he? In such a case, emergency medical attention needs to be sought, by either taking him to the nearest ER, or calling emergency services. If treated in time, there is a chance that a doctor can counteract the Acetaminophen toxicity and minimize the liver damage. The FDA lists the typical side effects, in normal dosages, to possibly include nausea, dizziness and headache. Can you please post back and update me? ## I, too, had liver enzyme tests come back high (taking Percocet which has acetemonphin). I lrned hat taking Milk Thistle and NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine). I have Norco M 367 and I'd like to know if they have side effects? ## Yes, it does have side effects! The same as any other narcotic! This is manufactured by mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals and have 325mgs of Acetaminophen in it, as well as 10mgs of Hydrocodone, it can cause drowsiness, a high feeling, euphoria, nausea, vomiting, constipation and addiction! ## Hi....after taking narcs for years, I'd recommend getting on one that is not married with Tylenol. Because of tolerance, which is inevitable, meds such as morphine, dilaudid, roxicodone, etc., do not contain Tylenol at all. Meds such as Norco and Percocet have to be limited in dosage because of Tylenol content. It will wreak havoc on the liver, esp. If combined with alcohol. I've been on Roxicodone for quite a few years a...

I started taking Meloxicam (15 mg) ten days ago for spondyloarthritis. I few days ago, I started having headaches and tension in my neck/shoulders. I read that you're not supposed to take iboprofen or other NSAIDS with it, so I took Tylenol instead to get rid of the headache, which worked. I also noticed that I was having bloating, belching, loose stools/diarrhea, and weight gain, despite diet and exercise. In fact, while I was doing my walking yesterday (roughly 3 miles or so in an air conditioned mall), I started feeling a little lightheaded and getting winded easier than I should have. Afterwards, on my way home, I stopped by the grocery store and was still feeling a little strange and when I reached the blood pressure machine I decided to check mine. It was high for me: 161/90+ ...

How long does the medicine last in your system? What are the side effects of this medication? Can it be mixed with any other medicine such as tylenol, advil or excedrin? ## Hi Carlos, Chlorpheniramine is reported to be the active ingredient in Clorfeniramina Maleato. Chlorpheniramine has a half life of 21-27 hours; meaning that it can take roughly a full day before the last dosage you took is cut in half. Most pharmacists consider 5 half lives (5 days in this case) to be the average time frame it takes to leave your system. Keep in mind though that higher half life values ranging up to 43 hours have been reported. In cases like this, the drug can take as long as a 10 days to leave your system. As far as side effects go, the most common ones are listed below: • drowsine...

half red half yellow ## How many milligrams of Tylenol and how many milligrams of codeine are in Tylenol 6 ## From what I can find, there is no 600mg tablet on the U.S. market. The maximum available here are the 500mgs tablets. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Acetaminophen as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache. Cam, I cannot find a Tylenol 6 listed in the U.S. databases. Where was it prescribed? I will keep searching for you, though, it is possible I have missed a listing.

I need to sleep. I've been having problems sleeping. I am having back surgery in a few days and cannot take blood thinners. Can I take Tylenol PM? ## No, it is not a blood thinner, the manufacturer lists it as containing Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and drowsiness. However, it is always best to double check with your doctor, before taking anything, before surgery. Is there anything else I can help with?

I thought Codeine pills had to show the strength on the other side like #3 or #4? What is U 37? ## No, it is entirely up to the manufacturer, they do not have to show any specific thing, it is just required that they have an imprint and file it with the FDA in order to enable identification, in case of emergency. The tablet in question is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 60mgs of Codeine and 300mgs of Acetaminophen. The NIH warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How many tylenol 3s equal a 10/325mg norco? ## Hello, Yoyo! How are you? Codeine is actually a very weak opiate, so it would take 66.67mgs of it to equal each 10mg Hydrocodone. But, you can't double up, without your doctor's permission, due to the Acetaminophen in them. Taking too much of it in any 24 hour period could result in fatal toxicity, liver damage or liver failure. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Why would a doctor switch a person that's been on Hydrocodone-Apap 7.5/325mg to Tylenol 3?

Been taking tylenol #4 for over 4years. Prior taking tylenol #3 for 11 years, my Dr switched to tylenol #4 due to increased pain level. I take it responsibly, 1/4th at a time with 1/4 Phenergan. Have gone 60 Days aaa self test, no addiction. Must be a rarity. Never have had withdrawal from anything, not even Klonopin taken hrs apart of #4's. ## Not everyone becomes addicted to any given substance, some people are just not prone to it. The main question is whether or not the medication is working for you. The FDA warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

How has Skelaxin affected any one out there? ## I have taken this med before & could never feel any difference. Isnt it a muscel relaxer? ## what kind of overhe counter med. can you take for RA anything to stop the pain ## Well, Kari, I know some people swear by over the counter medications, such as anti-inflammatories, like Ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin) or Acetaminophen (Tylenol), as well as some herbal remedies. The main concern here, of course, is that you have to be careful how much you take, due to the possibility of overdosage, which can result in severe organ damage or even death. So, if you are going to try them, please be careful to stay within the recommended dosages and also, make sure they don't interact with any other medications you may be taking.
