Visited my Orthopedist and he prescribed Gabapentin as a multiple solution for differing pain. First have no cartaledge in left knee and only 50% in right knee with significant degradation of the joints bilaterally. Also having neuropathic pain in legs after sitting for 20-40 minutes in one place along with feeling of feet and legs being asleep(attributed to my diabetes) Also have shoulder pain from pinched nerve in my arms/elbows. Have been taking 325mg hydrocodone 4 times a day along with occasional extrastrength tylenol caplets to up pain relief. Took first dose of Gabapentin 250mg/5ml oral solution this morning. I am taking Percocet 5/325 twice daily for rheumatoid arthritis and/or gout. If I take that with 2 Tylenol will effects and duration be effected? ## There is Tylenol (Acetaminophen) in the Percocet, that's what the 325mg amount designates, so it is not safe to add more, as it could result in overdose toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been taking extra strength Tylenol for arthritis and now I am having hives all over my body and some numbness in my upper left lip. ## My lips feel numb after taking more than two tylenol at a time. no hives just numbness ## Helo Dolores, The symptoms you are experiencing are most likely the result of you having an allergic reaction. I very strongly suggest that you see a doctor immediately and stop taking the extra strength tylenol. Let us know how it goes.

Im guessing the strength of this pill is less than any over the counter Tylenol.. 325 vs 500 ## Actually, both of the doses you listed are over the counter strengths. The original Tylenol was 325mgs, the Extra Strength is 500mgs and there is a time released arthritis formulation that contains 650mgs. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. The 325mg dosage isn't purchased as often, anymore, so it's seen less frequently in most stores, but it is still available. Doses over 4,000mgs in a day can be fatally toxic, so anyone taking it should be very careful not to exceed the recommended dosing guidelines. Is there anything else I can help with?
