Tylenol Codeine Dosage

Hi everyone, I am still on a progressing prootcol of Lyrica. I'm presently at 250mg a day.Till the Lyrica gets to the best pain management dosage, my doctor put me also on 6 acetaminophen (Tylenol) plus codeine a day. My question is "has anyone of you been able to completely get off the Tylenol and codeine after getting to the right dosage of Lyrica? " I am taking the Lyrica for nerve damage due to advanced spinal stenosis. I am also on 100mg of NaproxenE a day. My mother broke her arm (87 yrs old) She is allergic to lortab, and is being given 1000 mg. tylenol every 6 hr. Since she has been very confused and is seeing things (bugs, trains etc) could the tylenol be causing this? ## Is it Tylenol 3, or regular Tylenol? You mentioned both, but the Tylenol 3 contains Codeine, with the Acetaminophen and yes, it is a narcotic, so it may cause that, especially if she is taking a double dosage. How's she doing now?

If Tylenol #3 has 30mg of codeine, why are the other meds with 10 mg stronger? ## There are so many generics available for these, now, plus the fact that Codeine is so mild compared to other pain treatment mediations, that there isn't really any name brand for most of them, anymore. They are generally prescribed as Acetaminophen with Codeine, with the appropriate dosages listed. The FDA lists this as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

The tablet with the M2A 57344 marking is manufactured by Physican Partner and they list it as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is a dosage that is available over the counter and does not contain Codeine, it is a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol. Is it safe to take 6mg of clonazapam with 300 mg of Tylenol 3 or do these drugs cause an interaction? ## That is WAY too much climax roam to take at one time. It sounds like you have plain acetaminophen. ... ## Pj, also be aware of the dosage you are taking. Acetaminophen can be hard on the liver so never take too much of it! My son takes 1/2 a tablet every 6 hours how much tylenol is he actually getting? ## If his tablets are 5/500's then a 1/2 tab is 250 of Tylenol and 2.5 of codeine. ## The active narcotic in this is Hydrocodone, so he'd be getting approximately 2.5mgs of it and approximately 250mgs of the Acetaminophen/Tylenol. And the reason I say approximately, is because when you cut, or break a pill, it is very hard to be precise, so the dosage could be a milligram, or two, one way or the other. Are there any other questions or comments?

My son is 11 months old and had surgery and was prescribed hydro/APAP for his pain. It is 7.5/325 in 15ml. The pharmacy calls it Tylenol 4. How can you tell if acetaminophen is a rx or just otc? Is the dosage a clue? ## Based on my own research I found that Acetaminophen (also known as Paracetamol) is an ingredient contained in many OTC and prescription medicines. For the most part, Acetaminophen would be found in typical OTC drugs such as, Benadryl, Tylenol, Theraflu, and many more medications along similar lines intended for normal colds, flu, and other minor to moderate pain. pain tablets ## APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen and Codeine, of course, is a narcotic pain reliever. A generic equivelent to Tylenol with Codeine, commonly referred to as Tylenol 3 or 4, depending on the dosage.
