I'm taking Nucynta 100mg 4 x a day with IB profen 800mg 3 x a day for back pain but am currently out of Nucynta so I have been taking Tylenol/Codeine # 3 and # 4 with my IB Profen and a few 7.5 Meloxicam. I should be getting my refill today but I take the other meds to keep from going into withdrawels, been there several times getting off Oxy, and several other opiates and it is nothing nice. My dentist prescribed Tramadol hcl 50mg, Ibuprofen 800 mg and Tylenol for tooth pain. I am concerned about taking all three of them at once because I drive a school bus. Were you also prescribed an antibiotic or antibiotic ear drops? Neither Tylenol, nor Ibuprofen will help eradicate an infection. I had ankle surgery yesterday and they put 2 plates and 10 screws in my ankle. I was prescribed Tylenol 3s and ibuprofen 800mg when I went to the urgent care the day before surgery and was prescribed Valium 5mg and Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10-325 after surgery. Would it be safe for me to take a Valium 5mg and Tylenol 3 together for the pain to hold me over until it’s time for me to take my Norco again in 3 hours? Please advise. Ive been taking this medicine for two months now. No problems. But a day ago I got bit by a few mosquitos, turns out I now have west nile virus. I have horrible aches, headache, neasua and a fever. It would take 800mgs of Codeine to equal each 80mg dose of Oxycontin, thus you couldn't possibly safely take enough of them, because that would be approximately 27 pills and that would result in an overdose, especially with the Acetaminophen in the Tylenol 3. Ok, This tylenol-cod #4 is not very strong...I take Ibuprophen 800 mg for fibromyalgia/arthritis..Waiting for the Docs to figure that one out?? I have tooth pain. I was taking 800-1000mg of ibuprofen q9h. After a few weeks, it stopped working. I started taking Tylenol (recommended dosage). It only dulls the pain. I have a toothache due to a bad root canal resulting in infection. They gave me antibiotics, 800mg of Ibprofen and 500mg of tylenol ( they only work when i combine them together and wear off in about 3 hours or less). My pain level is really high, and today I woke up with a bubble on each side of my tooth. Is this normal? ## The bubbles are probably due to an abscessed infection and if so, then you should contact the dentist, again. I found a white capsule shaped pill in mt daughters room. It has either 81 or I8 onone side and the other side is blank. Found these pills in my sons room. He says they are pain pills of some sort but I am not sure. I just started takin amox for ear infection and they gave me hydroco 5-325mg but it wont take the pain away I waz wondering can I take ibuprofen. Is that a big nono???? ## Yes, you can take 800mg of Ibuprofen every 8 hours. I wouldnt take any more than that, it can be rough on the stomach. Take with a full stomach of food. I've had severe tooth pain from an abcess, and Ibuprofen worked better than the Tylenol3 with Codeine the dentist gave me. ## I totally agree with Leo. I was prescribed Tylenol 3 with Codeine post surgery, but the Codeine gave me such a bad headache that I ended up taking Advil for pain relief and it worked well for me.

Yes im just wondering if Ibuprofen will do much good for my arthritis in my legs. My knees swell a lot an it hurts bad. My doctor recommended Tylenol 3 with codeen which im highly allergic to. Over the counter doses are available in 100mgs or 200mgs, prescription doses are available in 400, 600, and 800mgs.
