Tylenol 4 Equals

How many tylenol 3 with codeine do I have to take to make the same amount as 4 norcos 10/325? ## Hello, Kalife! How are you? It takes 66.67mgs of Codeine to be equal to each 10mgs of Hydrocodone. So roughly 2 Tylenol 3 for each Norco. However, the problem is that you can't double up that much due to the dangers of overdosing on the Acetaminophen in them, because that could be fatal. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, you should only take it as prescribed by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

I know a person that took a higher than recommended dose of Tylenol and they said that it equals up to 1 Hydrocodone. ## Hi Ann - There is no real equivalent dose between Tylenol (ingredient name Acetaminophen) versus Hydrocodone. They are two completely different drugs, plus the Acetaminophen is not even an opiate medication like Hydrocodone is. In fact, taking too much Acetaminophen puts the body at great risk of liver damage! So I hope that your friend is okay! There are some drugs which contain a combination of Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone (such as Vicodin and Norco), but in those drugs they act together. So as I mentioned, it is never a good idea to try and take a therapeutic equivalent of Hydrocodone by using Acetaminophen. I hope this helps and best wishes!

I've been taking 2 Norco 10s for years. I've just decided to try and switch to Tylenol 3s. For less Dr visits and refill purposes. How many equals what I've been used to because they don't seem to help and I'm not feeling so well? ## The Codeine in the Tylenol 3 is much milder than the Hydrocodone in the Norco. Each 10mgs of Hydrocodone is equivalent to 66.67mgs of Codeine, thus you can't safely take enough enough of them to be equivalent in efficacy, doing so risks a toxic overdose from the Acetaminophen that's in it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What dosing instructions has your doctor prov...

how many tylenol #3 equals a 500/500 vicodin, i need to know for arthritic pain. ## It takes 33.33mgs of the Codeine to equal each 5mg dosage of Hydrocodone. Learn more Codeine details here. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Since the Acetaminophen potentiates the action of the narcotic and you have to be careful of how much of it you take in a day, you may want to just try one tablet and see how well it helps. Did your doctor switch you and not provide any advice?

i had a broken leg in 2007 was prescribed vicodin 750, in 2010 i had major brain surgery and was prescribed more 750 mg vicodin, but my tolerance is so high that my doctor prescribed me oxycotin 30 mg, can you please tell me what one pill of 750 vicodin equals one pill of 30 mg oxycotin./....please help ## if u are taking the 10/750 vicodins, the 30 mg oxy is like taking 3 vicodins. oxy is an opiate as well. minus the acetametaphine (tylenol) that's in vicodin.. ## Yes, the Oxycodone is stronger, but I can't really give you a comparison, without knowing the precise dosage of the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen combination you were taking. The 750 you posted just refers to the Acetaminophen, but there are several different strengths of the Hydrocodone available. Have you tried the Oxyc...
