Tryptomer 25 Mg Side Effect

I have been taking tryptomer 25 for serveral years but due to shortness of breath Doctor adviced me to take lonazep 1mg anf fluoxetine 20. He told me to stop tryptomer 25 but i cannot stop it. I took all the 3 medicines for around 4 months. I am feeling much better now. Then I told doctor that I have headache and constipation, gastro problem. He changed from fluoxetine to sertraline 50. Is there any problem taking lonazep, tryptomer and sertraline 50 togather? ## Tryptomer contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, it is an antidepressant. And no, it should not be used with Sertraline, because they are the same type of medication. Sir,/Madam I am 58 years age,taking tryptomer 25 since last two months. I feel relax but I feel always to sleep. I am taking regularly two pegs of alcohol. Is there any side affect to take alcohol as I am taking rum regularly in the night only since last 20 years . I want sleep always by taking this medicine. please advice me ## Trytomer contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, which is a Tricyclic antidepressant and yes, your problem may be caused by mixing it with alcohol. It can cause drowsiness as a side effect and alcohol can intensify that effect. It can also be very toxic to your liver, so you shouldn't be drinking while taking this medication. i am on tryptomer,prodep,restyl,for the past 10 yrs. i hav got skin rashes especially on my legs and feet.can it be due to these medicenes. no skin creme is helping . what shd i do? ## After 10 years, it isn't very likely that the medications are causing it, unless you've suddenly got one from a different manufacturer. I am also taking 100mg tryptomer per day taking 25 mg twice morning evening and 50 mg once at night.I do so because despite taking 50mg sr at night I experience some anxiety in day time Its helping me any ways besides I ' m fine with my epilypsy ## My doctor had advised me to stop taking tryptomer as it is an antiepilypsy Drug . ## Tryptomer contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, which is an antidepressant that is also useful in treating anxiety.
