patient takes two Triptyline per night together with Phenytoin sodium 100mg x 3- patient is hallucinating ## Has their doctor specifically prescribed them all to be taken at once like this? If they are suffering from hallucinations, it could be due to having to much of one, or both of these medications, at once and the dosages may need to be split up, so they are taken throughout the day. Has their doctor been consulted?

As such, this medication is considered a Tricyclic Antidepressant and should be weaned off gradually. "Antidepressants in general may produce a discontinuation syndrome. This is not the same as drug withdrawal. Discontinuation symptoms can be managed by a gradual reduction in dosage over a period of weeks or months to minimize symptoms." How long does the medication take to actually help pain as doctors suspect I suffer with never problems from the top of the spine to the scalp.
