my husband is taking trioptal 300 since few months because of his brain infaction.cn u tell me till how much time he should take this? ## IN 2009 JAN I HAD EPILEPSY ATTACK.TILL DATE I HAVE BEEN TAKING TRIOPTAL.RIGHT NOW I AM TAKING TRIOPTAL 300MG(1/2 TABLET) TWICE A DAY.I HAVE A BIT OF MEMORY LOSS.NOW I WANT TO PLAN PREGNANCY.SHOULD I GO FOR IT.I AM ALSO TAKING FRISIUM5MG TWICE A DAY (ONE TABLET EACH TIME) AND FOLVOITE 0.5MG ONCE A DAY. PLESE SUGGEST ME WHETHER TO PLAN PREGNANCY AND WILL IT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON MY BABY OR NOT? WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOUD I TAKE.

pls help me I m taking trioptal 300 twice a day since 20 days.i have pain in back of my head.after taking this tablet same effect .in eeg scan result supportive epileft activit 10 hemisphere.after taking this tab same head pain is there what can I do pls help me my ct scan was normal. ## I am not a doctor and I do not know the cause however I can give you some advice. I had a attack of epilepsy@ 8 years back. Earlier i was taking eptoin and now i am taking trioptal 300, 2.5 tabs/day. since last 5 years. My major concern is lack of concentration and memory loss. I um unable to recall major events happened in recent past. i also tend to forget roads,persons travelled/met recently Some times i get blank and talks incoherently. [once in six months] ## Trioptal contains the active ingredient Oxcarbazepine, which is an anticonvulsant and yes, there has been evidence that shows it can cause problems similar to what you're experiencing. My sister is advised trioptal 300 for 2 years. She didnt have any epilepsy attack however she started showing signs of abnormal behaviour. Plz advise.

I have started trioptal-300 drug for epilepsy cure twicw a day. I feel drowsiness .I have to start thrice a day after a week. Won't it be too high dose?
