Trimetoprima Sulfametoxazol Dosage

2 Topics Found

A vet in Mexico told us that Trimetoprima Sulfametoxazol can be used in place of Albon to get rid of Coccidia in Cats. Is this true and what would the dosage be? ## I'm sorry, but I don't have any information on this, out information pertains to the use of medication in humans, not animals. Have you tried asking your regular veterinarian? Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is an antibiotic, so it is not completely the same as the Albon, so I would suggest getting a second opinion to make sure you are getting proper treatment for your pet.
