I have a prescription dated 01/07/13 for Sullfameth/trime thoprim 800/160 tabs, is it ok for me to take them now? ## Hello, Sylvia! How are you? This is a generic for the antibiotic Bactrim and the expiration date would have been one year from when it was dispensed to you by your pharmacy. So, if you have an infection and require an antibiotic, it would best to see your doctor for a new prescription. Side effects to this medication nay include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and non-allergic skin rash. Is there anything else I can help with?
