How long does trihexyphenidyl chloride work in your system before being excreted from your body? ## Hi Maggie, According to a peer reviewed journal by the US National Library of Medicine, the estimated reported half-life of Trihexyphenidyl is said to be 3.7 hours, give or take 40 minutes; at which point in time half of whatever mg dosage you took will be left working in your body (the other half excreted). So every 3.3 - 4.1 hours, "half of that remaining half" will be eliminated, and so forth until the medication is no longer active in your body. Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/4037749 I hope this helps answer your question!
