Hi, I've been on trigestrel for about 2 months now. While on the white pill, i took it an hour and a half before I had a funny tummy. Nausea and diarrhea can be normal side effects of this medication, according to the U.S. FDA, you may also experience headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms. Hi, it's my first time using trigestrel pills or any other contraceptive pills for that matter. I started my period on Wednesday, meaning it didn't fall on the red line pill. I thn forgot to take the pill on Wednesday on the day of starting my period; can I start the pill on Thursday and is it necessary to take two pills (for Wednesday & Thursday) ? Is it also necessary to start with the red line although my periods fall on the non-red line. Hope it makes sense. ## Okay, the days printed on the package are just a general guide to try to help women remember to take them each day, but they don't actually have any effect on how the pills work, when you start your period, you should just start the pills that day, and continue on, even if the days of the week don't match ...

Hi there, please can you advise me. I have been on trigestrel for 5 years now. I have stooped the pill in October last year in an effort to get pregnant. Before going onto the pill I have had iregular periods and it seems that my body has gone back to that. I had my last period ( on the pill)- 27th Sept, after i stopped the pill, my period came on 27th November and then just recently on 10 Januray. My doc suggests that I go back onto the pill to help me ovaulte and get my periods regularly. He says that I should go back onto the pill, get my period for two months and then after about 8 days on the third month, just stop immediately. He says this will increase my chances of falling pregnant, as it will help me to ovualate. Please can you advise if this is indeed correct. If so, please tell

Please help. ## Yes, these are hormonal contraceptives, so they can that as a side effect in some women that take it, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, dizziness, spotting and PMS-like symptoms. Usually, such side effects are transient and go away, once your body gets used to the medication, but it may take a few months. However, you should consult your doctor, as you may be better off trying a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi i have just switched from injection to trigestre. Hey I'm 20 and just started using the pill a few days ago. I miscarried 2 months ago and got the inj. but I decided not to go back 4 a 2nd inj. which is why I'm now on the pill. I wanna find out about its side effects and if it won't ruin or reduce my chances of being pregnant in the near future? Please help. ## Hello, Anovuyo! How are you doing? So very sorry about your loss. No, it shouldn't affect your future chances of fertility, these only work on a temporary basis, as long as you are taking them, though once you stop, it may take a couple months for ovulation to occur again, so you can get pregnant. The side effects usually include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain and some breakthrough bleeding. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Hi my name is eu...

Hi there, I started using trigestrel and stopped using it due to heavy mood swings ect. I've had my period as soon as i stopped using it but for almost 2 months now i've not yet had my period. Is it just my hormones that's all scrambled or what? ## Hi, Cj! How are you? Have you been engaging in intercourse? If so, have you taken a pregnancy test? These hormonal based contraceptives only protect against pregnancy while you are taking them, the protection is gone once you've stopped. Or yes, it could be due to your hormones being imbalanced from taking it, it may take them awhile to adjust back to normal levels. have you consulted your doctor? ## Hi, I started using trigestrel pills in november and my period wasn't normal in december. Will this indeed effect my pumples on my skin again. ## Hello Gabie, According to the NIH these pills are the same in their composition and their uses so yes the pill is the same. Both pills are contraceptives and if you are experiencing abdominal pain and discharge you may have a separate issue that you need to discuss with your primary care doctor. It is worth noting that these two brands are commonly interchanged as they have the same composition and that u...

I have been trying to fall pregnant for 2 years now and i have just started taking trigestral in the hopes that they will help me get pregnant when i stop taking them. this month i missed my period. Should i stop taking them now in my second month or should i continue right through the next month and then stop. ## This medication is actually used to help prevent pregnancy, taking it for a few months and then suddenly stopping will likely throw off your cycle for awhile, and prevent pregnancy, according to NIH reports. Usually, it is taken, under a doctor's direction, for a few months, then stopped and it can take about 3 months for your body to regulate your hormones, again, to see if you can become pregnant. Have you consulted a doctor? Has any testing been done to see why aren...

hi, i want to skip the red part - period - during vacation. Do i just start a new packet to skip the period part? ## What do I do to skip my period on trigestrel pill ## Yes, you can do that, if your doctor approves, some women skip the inactive pills when having their period would be inconvenient and there is usually no harm in doing so. However, the NIH does warn that there are no guarantees it will work, you may still experience a period, or irregular bleeding. Are there any other questions?

Hi...ive been using triphasil for the past years now...doctor gaved me trigestrel...im on my 4th red pill with no period yet...should I be worried... ## Did you just make a smooth switch from one to the other? If your period is late, it might just be due to a slight difference in the amount of hormones in the Trigestrel. Hormonal contraceptives may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular menstrual cycles, acne, and weight changes.

Hi, I have been on contraceptives for the last 5 years. I started of with the 3 month injection. That caused me to bleed non stop for about 2 months. I went back to the clinic and they changed the injection to the 2 month injection. That did not help either as i continued to have my period for another month. They then put me on the pill called Ovral to stop the bleeding. It did help to stop the bleeding. I then saw my doctor and he gave me triphasil which i have been using for the last 4 years without any problems. When i went back to get my repeat 2 months ago, they told me that Triphasil was discontinued and gave me Trigestral. I have switch to this pill about 2 months ago. I am on my second pack and 2 weeks from my period / red pill. Last night i started getting contraction like cram...
