Hey, I was wondering if Triamterene hctz can help you lose weight? ## Hi Amberlee, Because Triamterene is a diuretic, I can honestly only see it helping you lose water weight temporally (as you'd obviously have to rehydrate sooner than later LOL). Personally I wouldn't encourage you to go down that route at all, but if you do, please be sure to consult a doctor first to go over proper/safe dosing protocols that suit your individual needs. Keep in mind too that this medication's primary intended use is for high blood pressure, so if your levels are already low or you don't know where they general range from, it would be imperative to have your blood pressure evaluated or monitored before starting treatment. I hope this helps! ## My doctor just told me she was putting me o...

drug appearance ## There is no way to describe that, once a medication is available for generic production it can be made by many, many different companies and there are no laws saying they all have to look the same, they will each look different according to however the manufacturer wants them to look.
