I have taken Benicar for years. Dr. tried a different BP medicine and I started a dry cough for weeks......back to Benicar, and cough went away. In December, Dr. switched me to olmesartan, which, as I understand it is generic for Benecar. I've been coughing ever since.........is that even possible? Are the two medicines identical, or is it possible that for me, Olmesartan causes cough but Benicar does not? ## I also recently switched from Benicar to the generic form. I use trimacsart 40 for high blood pressure put my doctor change my medicine and give me olmeasar 40 and cancor 5 mg and use to morning same time my blood pressure nirmly 80, 85 and 120 ,130 use to trimacsart 40 but my pulse goes to fast please advise me and one tablet cyra LS also give me one tablet in morning

My spouse has tried both bp meds. The benicar is u much better med than thr loristatin. Benicar works very well. The loriststin just doesn't work @ all. The benicaris much more expensive but what's the point if you get something that doesn't even work. We will stay with benicar. The only side-effect I have had to Tribenzor is in my wallet. It controls my blood pressure well, but can't afford it. It has Amalodepine in it. Amalodepine makes my joints, especially my feet swell and hurt. I was in a walker, on crutches, or in a wheel chairwhen I used it. It has Hidroclorothiazide in it (HTZ). Don't know of any problems I had with it. Has another one I can't spell either, but I have had no known problems with it. has anyone gotten insurance company to pay for Benecar (olmesarten) ? Mine changed me from Benecar to Losarten-just not the same effects. The benecar controlled it better and NO SIDE EFFECTS. Losarten is making me fat and my back hurts terribly and AI have a headache. ## There are many other medications on the market that will treat the same conditions that Benicar and Losartan treat. I found a small yellow round pill with cls 4 or cls 4 (second one is c slash s). Cls on top and 4 on bottom, plain on other side. Does anyone know what this is? I've been searching the internet and even called poison control and they didn't have it listed.
