## given to control spinal injury related muscle spasms. 2x25mg every night. ## side affects of trepeline 25mg ## Sorry, I see by your IP that you are outside the US. Apparently this drug is not approved for use in the US, and I cannot find any information on it at all, not even by doing just a general internet search. There are a few mentions in posts on message boards like this, but that is all, none that tell what it is used for, side effect information, or anything relevant to your question. Did your doctor or pharmacy provide any additional information when it was prescribed? ## fyoeudbsw bsylachu inmaxp slrw czhax czewx pnidlr ## I have been suffering from excrutiating headaches for the last few months. Doctor prescribed trepeline for treatment of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) about 5 years ago as its supposed to slow down my stomach digestion process. Im not too convinced, are there any natural medicines I can take instead of trepeline? Reduced dosage down to 10mg and only take 1 in a 3 day cycle, I have trouble sleeping if I stay off it for longer than 3 days... Stomach starts running too. ## Hello, Deepguy! How are you? Yes, if you stop it without doing a very slow taper, you will experience some withdrawal effects, such as what you've described. The difference between it and the natural stuff is that this medication is actually proven to work. The natural substances aren't, so of course your doctor is going to want you to take something that has been proven to have the des...

How should I stop taking Trepeline. I have been taking 25 mg for pain control for about 4 years. I am not taking another antidepressant for depression and could like to come off trepeline. I believe one should slowly withdraw but am not sure how to do this. ## Yes, it should be done on a very slow taper. If you stop taking it abruptly, it may result in withdrawal and rebound effects, which could be worse than the symptoms you started taking it to treat. Learn more Trepiline details here. Have you talked to anyone about getting help with this yet? Many times it's suggested that someone start alternating the days they take, instead of taking it every day and then start taking it less and less frequently.

pills to make you gain weight fast ## What I learned about Trepeline is that it is mostly used to alleviate migraines. I am not 100 % sure about this drug, but I did not find anything pertaining to it helping with weight gain. I can't tell you what to do or take, I am not a doctor nor do I know anything about your medical history. I would consult your physician about your situation, and ask he/she what you should do in order to gain weight. Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## i would like to gain weight i am too skinny please help

My mom had a craniotomy one month ago. She is still in rehab. She experiences nightmare-ish hallucinations though. They give her trepeline in the evenings toghether with her epilepsy medication. Is Trepeline given for depression (depression is common for craniotomy patients). Anti-depressants can cause hallucinations. Will Trepeline be the culprit? ## What does her doctor think is causing them? Some antidepressants can cause them, in some people, but it's really difficult to say whether it's solely the medication, the craniotomy, or perhaps a combination of both.

I am currently taking 10mg of Trepeline at night and 300mg of Epleptin 3 times a day due to severe pain in my back and spasms in through out my body. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis about 7 years ago but it is now in remission. Do these tablets cause weight gain? ## Trepeline contains the active ingredient Amitryptiline, which is a tricyclic antidepressant that the Epleptin contains the active ingredient Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant, though both of these have been shown to help with various types of nerve pain, such as yours. And yes, they can both cause weight gain as side effects. Learn more Trepeline details here. Learn more Epleptin details here. Have you gained a lot, or just a small amount? ## I started Trepeline (25g) 6 weeks ago for migraines. I gained 3kg! Sto...

I have been on 60mg of Cymgen and 10mg of Trepeline for 3 months now. My water retention has gone through the roof and I have picked up 8kgs over the last three months despite following a controlled diet and exercise routine. Is this normal? ## it is the trepeline that cause the water retention and not cymbalta,I am on cymbalta for 2 years now and lost 8ks ## Actually, it could be either one of the medications, or maybe the combo of taking both. They have both been known to cause it in a small percentage of the people that take them. Have you consulted your doctor? Edema can be a dangerous condition, if left to continue out of control, so you may need to switch to other medications, or adjust these ones.

need to know if this is equal to celebrex - Lanzoprazol Tromaxil XL ## side affects of trepeline ## Celebrex contains the active ingredient Celecoxib, this is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication used to treat pain and inflammation. You can read more about it here: Lansoprazole is a completely different medication, this is a proton pump inhibitor, used to treat conditions such as acid reflux, heart burn and GERD. You can read more about it here: So no, they are two very different drugs and do not treat the same conditions at all. Where you told by someone that they were the same thing? ## Clive, I'm assuming you're referring to Amitriptyline, a generic for the antidepressant Elavil. Some of the most common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headac...

As i have reading up on the drug, and no where does it state anything to do with the lower leg pains. Also will this be the reason why her blood suger levels spike (+15) now and again? ## Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant, some of these do help some people with certain types of nerve pain. And it can have an effect on blood sugar, it can raise or lower it. Do you have any other questions? ## iv been on amitriptyline 10mg for 5 weeks now for lower leg pain which stops me from sleeping , and to be honest they do seem to work,, i sleep through the night now, my only problem is my mouth seems to get dry . ## I am on Trepeline...
