I am a 73 year old male in otherwise good health. I'm taking Tramahexl 100mg +2 Panados for relief from very severe lower back pain coupled with abdominal pain, but the pain is constant and I cannot endure the chronic pain at times. Please, can someone advise? I used to take a drug called Jurnista (synthetic morphine) which did not help. Also, is anybody on methadone and does it help with chronic pain? ## Tramahexal contains the active ingredient Tramadol, which is much milder than the Morphine that you've already tried, so that is likely why it hasn't helped you. What dosage do you take of the Panadol, and how often do you take it? Methadone has been known to help some people with chronic pain. The NIH warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause sid...

I have just been discharged from hospital and prescribed adco-namamol tablet 500mg & Tramahexal 100mg for severe back pain (osteoporosis with numerous crushed vertebrae & discs-upper & lower spine) How will this impact my IBS which at present is presenting with constipation. Dr said he'd give me something to counteract latter but cannot see that these 2 will be doing that. Your opinion please? ## Hello, Margie! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in so much pain. The problem here would be the Tramahexal, since it contains Tramadol, which the U.S. FDA classifies as an opiate pain reliever. It can actually cause constipation as a side effect, so it may worsen this problem for you. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such...

My GP puts me on Tramahexal SR 100 twice daily for severe lower back pain- how long does it take to have any effects 1 hour, 2 hours ? ## Hello, Maruis! How are you? No, it should start working within 15 to 20 minutes of taking and then the medication is slowly released over a period of 12 hours to help alleviate your pain. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi. I am type 1 diabetic and broke my leg above my ankle 8 months ago. I'm 66 years old. Meds I use are: Tramahexal, Panamor, Epleptin, Myprodol, Adco dol. I suffer with bad headaches and severe leg pain due to the bones not growing back properly. This last week I've battled to get some sleep and felt like my body was shaking. Am I taking too many pain killers?

Within 15 minutes of taking Losec (Omeprazole) 20mg, I am giddy and dizzy. Is it because I have been taking it for a long time? I use something else should I get heartburn, which is most unusual now as I changed to a vegetarian diet with very little protein. ## I wish to know if Omerprazole 20 mg can cause dizziness, as well as taking Tramahexal be the cause of palpitations. Something is making me dizzy and making my earfs ring, as well I now hve great difficulty in writing. ## Yes, Omeprazole can cause dizziness as a side effect, along with nausea, headache, mouth watering, and stomach pain. The Tramahexal can also cause dizziness, since it contains the active ingredient Tramadol, which is an opioid used or pain. Palpitations are also possible side effects, most medications can cause t...
