is Tramadol contains any opiates ? ## Tramadol is narcotic! Some have different views on it but it is 100% narcotic with opiate traits. This medicine should be used with lots of caution, the doctors make it out like its non-addictive, but it is truly addictive as any other narcotic. But there are some good things that come from tramadol, and just as this year they are now finding it naturally produced in relatively high concentrations in the roots of the African Pin Cushion Tree. Just know it can be abuse very easy! Thanks ## Hello, Hokaz! How are you? Justin is correct, thank you Justin! Tramadol is classified as an opioid analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming. When creating it, researchers tried to take an opiate and remove the addictive potential to prevent abuse, bu...

Ok the dark red relatively large round tablet is coated with red, when split the inside is white. One side is scored the other imprinted with 225. Commonly Indian made, and the same look is also manufactured in Egypt.. Now my understanding, the high concentration as well as coating is supposed to make it time-release. One notice is that this is a bit mellowing and strong...It also gets me hungry, now the original ones ultram or tramadol capsules yeild a real stimulating euphoria, confidence, talkative, clever, insomnia and appetite suppression but no anxiety or palpitations like amphetamines and a terrible comedown follows in 4 -6 hrs.. Taking tramadol with downers like little benzos enhances the analgesic effect and the mellowing relaxation.. Generally speaking tramadol compared to oth...

I have been taking tramadol for about 2 months they I am now taking about 500 mg at once to help me sleep and it's not working for the pain can i go higher to 600mg ## The recommended maximum daily dose of Tramadol is 400mgs, so you are already exceeding that amount. Learn more Tramadol details here. As an analgesic, it may cause some drowsiness as a side effect, but really isn't meant to assist with problems sleeping, it is usually solely used for pain. Thus, you may do better if you tried an actual sleep aid for that and just this for pain, or an alternative medication for pain. Have you talked to your doctor about the issue? ## I Have been taken Tramadol 50 mg 2 times a day for 3 months now been taken Tramadol 50 mg 3 times a day for 2 months its not working any more should i...

I mostly read stories of people having problems about drugs. Side effects, unavailability, cost, etc. I have chronic pain from longstanding injuries in Vietnam that create more pain as I am in my 70th year. I have taken most anti inflammatory meds, opioids, electrical stimulation, etc. over the last 5 decades. Tramadol is the only medicine that relieves enough pain while allowing me to function during the day. I have taken Tramadol exclusively for at least 5 years. The best benefit, aside from pain relief, is non-escalating doses. I began taking 50 mg 3 times a day. Today I take 100 mg 3 times a day, which has been my dose for the last 2 years. Previous drugs, with oxycodone or hydrocodone inevitably required higher daily intake resulting in decreased effectiveness and constipation, irr...

TRAMADOL=DECEPTIVE POISON. this drug is one of the nastier little secrets of the painkiller industry. from my experience it is highly addictive with all the standard withdrawal symptoms plus severe interference with the logical thought processes, more so than other opiates. and to think that this drug is advertised as a safer alternative to other painkillers. I work with numbers as part of my job and I was unable to function once i ran out of my supply early. put myself into a long term suboxone rehab program. am almost ready to "graduate" from the program. (yipee!!!). this nightmare has cost me about $450 a month for doc visits and meds. TRAMADOL = DECEPTIVE POISON ## Sorry about the problem you had from taking Tramadol. And yes, it can be very deceptive. Since it is classified...

What is the difference? ## tramacet relieves the pain percocet relieves the pain AND makes you high (stay away if you can, highly addictive) ## The Tramacet combines the Tramadol with Acetaminophen, which can potentiate the action of some other drugs. Learn more Tramacet details here. Tramadol has shown the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and headache. Are there any other questions or comments? Is there anything else I can help with? ## If I am intolerant of Tramacet, am I likely to be intolerant of Tramadol too? I have constant severe nerve pain in my neck from old whiplash injuries. I'm told Lyrica is good but costs a bomb. Tramadol helped my mom with a similar problem. But Tramacet makes me totally nauseous. ## Y...

It is a precarious time for anybody who has been obtaining Tramadol over the internet. I've already read some of the other threads on here where a number of patients are suffering because they are unable to obtain a refill on their prescriptions. If you are unable to get your prescription filled then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with your doctor to taper down since the last thing which you want is to go through any major withdrawals! At the same time I DO NOT RECOMMEND switching to a narcotic pain killer such as Oxycodone since you will find the physiological dependence can be WORSE than Tramadol. Can anyone speculate the reasons with me? I suspect that many of the illegal suppliers are being stopped and as a knee jerk reaction I speculate that perhaps the DEA / FDA have started impos...

I recently started taking two tramadol 50 mg for severe joint pain due to RA. At the same time, my blood pressure was high (226/108) so i took 25 mg metoprolol and 25 mg losartan. Will my blood pressure drop too quickly? ## Hello, Irene! How are you? Has there been any change? These medications will not work to instantly lower blood pressure. They must be taken consistently over a period of time to have their full beneficial effect in your body, they cannot only be taken on an as needed basis. With readings that high, you could be in danger and should see your doctor for assistance, or if you've been instructed to take these medications regularly, you should start doing so. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urinatio...

Small town = pill abuses = impossible to get help for my endometriosis chronic pain. I am "green", totally new to searching for an online doctor that can prescribe the medication I am needing. I am searching for a first hand referral :) please I am irritable because of pain. ## Hi, I'm truly sorry your experiencing so much difficulty finding the relief you legit. NEED. From first hand expierence,The chances of finding a legitimate prescriber of opiat/opioid containing pain meds online is ZERO. The chances are slightly higher for obtaining a valid referal for a local pain management provider. What worked for me was meeting with a social services rep.at my local small town hospital's outreach department. They were able to schedule an appt. for me with a pain specialist ,when...

Does anyone else take tramadol and wellbutrin together. I heard it can cause seizures. ## What you heard is right, regarding the risk of seizures. My research on the interactions between these two drugs quotes the following information as a "high risk" interaction: "MONITOR CLOSELY: The risk of seizures may be increased during coadministration of tramadol with any substance that can reduce the seizure threshold, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI antidepressants or anorectics), monoamine oxidase inhibitors, neuroleptic agents, central nervous system stimulants, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, other tricyclic compounds (e.g., cyclobenzaprine, phenothiazines), carbapenems, cholinergic agents, fluoroquinolones, interferons, chloroquine, mefloquine, lindan...

My doctor has me taking norco 10 325 every 4 hours for pain. I have tramadol as well. The tramadol feels like it does absolutely nothing. Because the tramadol doesn't give me a high feeling I thought it might be better to take. Will tramadol work as well as norco and if so, at what dose? I just want to get rid of the pain!! ## It really depends on you, how much does the high feeling affect you? Because it will eventually wear off, as your body gets used to the medication. It is just a side effect. However, it is one of the reasons that some people end up abusing certain medications, they like that high feeling, so they keep taking more and more of it to get it back, whenever it wears off. And no, the Tramadol will not work as well, it's not anywhere near as effective as the othe...

I have read several posts that mention the risk of seizures related to stopping Tramadol. Could anyone give me more information about this? Any additional information on withdrawal symptoms would be also appreciated as well as the symptoms and risks of being on very high dosages. ( I have seen mention about "Serotonin Syndrome" related to Tramadol - what is that and what are the symptoms?) Thanks in advance for all info !! ## In most cases, for the risk of seizures to be present, someone would have to be taking high doses for a long period of time and then just stop taking it abruptly, so they go into full withdrawal. Learn more Tramadol details here. If you check out the link I've posted above and scroll down to the 'Physical dependence and withdrawal" section, you&...

All our pharmacies here have switched to amneal, which doesn't do a thing except give a headache. The brand does make a difference. The mylan works great. ## Yes, there can be differences in generic medications. Once a medication is available to be made a generic, it is allowed to differ, in the active ingredient, from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20%. The FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window. The problem that you can run into, of course, is that generics do not have to measure against each other, just against the name brand. This means that while one generic may be high quality and contain 100mgs of a given medication, another generic may only contain 80mgs and another could contain 120mgs. Not everyone is sensitive to such changes and most people don...

I have been taking Tramadol for almost 10 years in high doses 600 to 1000mg a day. I lead a productive life have a family but i know its time to stop. I cant even remember why I started taking Tramadol. I'm looking for any advice or experences amnyone else has had with withdrawing. ## Hello, DD! How are you? Since you've been taking doses that high, withdrawing could be dangerous and stopping it may be complicated, thus, it would really be best to get medical assistance doing so. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fatigue, diarrhea, fever, chills and seizures. Can anyone else chime in with their experiences? ## Yes, me to!! Blood pressure 159 over 105. I got really dizzy last tuesday. Due to death in family my blood pressure shot sky high around what it is now. Should I take these medicines? I also have asthma. I use inhalors to help me breathe easier. I've never had high blood pressure before last tuesday. ## What has your doctor advised? There is some risk that the Meclizine may raise your blood pressure and heart rate, as well as the asthma inhalers, depending on what they contain. Is your blood pressure still elevated, or was it just a one time thing? ## Hi. I have been taking tramadol also and I usually don't have high blood pressure and this shot up my blood pressure. My tramadol got wet turd mushy I let them dry now it's power will it still work for pain relief ## Hello, Larry! How are you? It would likely be best to just dispose of them. Having gotten wet enough to turn to mush, it is highly likely that some of the potency to them was lost, plus if they are now a powder, you won't know how much to safely take. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How did they end up getting wet?
