a round pill with AN 627 can it be used for pain if you a pancreas disease? ## Hi annie, Based on my research, there is consensus that tramadol is the most effective oral opioid analgesic for reducing pain in persons with chronic pancreatitis; however, tramadol is associated with gastrointestinal adverse effects. Because of that, I would just recommend clarifying with your doctor the 'risks vs benefits' before taking any. I hope this helps!

can tramadol help with my severe itching caused by my nerves ## Hello, Lois! How are you? No, Tramadol is classified by the FDA as an opioid analgesic, so it won't do anything to treat itching. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor about the itching? Do you take anything for your nerve issues? ## No, this itching is likely an allergic reaction. Call your Doctor and Pharmacist today. ## I'm seeing a dermatologist in less than 3 weeks. Also an ears, nose, and throat doctor on the same day. I'll try to remember to share anything I find out concerning the "itching" thing. Seems to only happen to me at sleep time.- Weird huh ??!!

one side of pill is a M and the other side of the pill is T7 ## what type of drug is tramadol hcl 50 mg. is it narcotic, like morphine or codene, is more like accetomedaphen(tylonal), asprin or what? What is it addictive, not addictive, have been given it for pain and having trouble finding out info on it... ## Tramadol is an interesting medication, the FDA has actually changed its classification several times. Basically, when inventing this drug, what they were trying to do was retain the analgesic properties of an opiate, but cut out the side effects and dependence or addiction issues. What they go was a pain killer that is actually somewhere in between. It does not work as effectively as most narcotics and it can cause the same side effects as an opiate, including dependence and addi...

My Dr. put me on tramadol 50mg 2 every 6hours.I was on codeine #3 but the VA pharmacy ran out and wont have them till Feb. My question is will I have any bad affects switching from codeine #3 to tramadol 50 mg thanks for your help. ## Hello, Mark! How are you? It only takes 45mgs of the Tramadol to equal each 30mgs of Codeine that you were taking, so you may actually get better pain relief from taking 100mgs of it. And the side effects should be about the same, the FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## thanks for your help. ## You are very welcome! Are there any other questions or con...

I had a heart attack two years ago and I am borderline Diabetic, is the Tramadol safe for me? ## Hello, Mark! How are you? Tramadol is actually stronger than Codeine, but known to cause less sedation, constipation and respiratory depression. what is the difference between tramadol 50 mg. and tramadol hcl 50 mg.? ## Hello, Shar! How are you? There is no difference, the hcl on the end of the one was just left off of the other, it designates the chemical salt that the medication is derived from. Is there anything else I can help with? ## WRONG ANSWER...THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. I'VE WAS PRESCRIBED TRAMADOL HCL 50 MG [TV58] FOR BACK PAIN IN FEBRUARY. MY DAUGHTER'S ENGLISH MASTIFF DOG, ELSA, WAS JUST RECENTLY PRESCRIBED TRAMADOL 50 MG [AN627] FOR HER PAIN. BOTH Rx CONTAIN 50 MG OF TRAMADOL, BUT ARE DERIVED FROM DIFFERENT FORMULATIONS, THE TRAMADOL 50 MG IS INSTANT RELEASE AND THE HCL IS EXTENDED RELEASE, SLOWER TO ACT, BUT WHICH GIVES LONGER LASTING RELIEF. What is the difference between tramadol hcl 50 mg and oxycodone 30 mg tablets ## Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic of the opioid class, but it is not classified as a narcotic. It really doesn't work as well as the actual narcotics do, for some people. Oxycodone is an actual narcotic and is much stronger and more effective for a lot of people. Since they do share similar characteristics, the side effects that they both can cause are very similar and can include: nausea, dizziness, constipation and drowsiness. Are there any other questions?

I pulled a muscle in my lower back and am in a lot of pain but am unemployed at the moment and can't afford to see a doctor and fill a new prescription. I found an old bottle of Tramadol HCL 50 MG with an expiration date of 3/22/2007. It has been stored in a cool, dark, dry cabinet all of this time. Does Tramadol HCL become unsafe or lose its potency after its expiration date, especially this long after? ## Unsafe: No. Loss of potency: Yes (to a degree)! In the original factory sealed bottles that your pharmacy receives, most medications are touted to only be good for 3 years. Once those are opened and they are placed in a bottle that exposed them to heat and light, they're subject to degrade faster and will lose potency. On the contrary however, something to keep in mind is tha...

Pramadol - what is this drug? Is it the same as Tramadol? It was prescribed for neck pain and I am unfamiliar with it. ## Hi Betty, Unfortunately I haven't been able to locate any specific details on Pramadol that strike me as being legitimate. The only thing I found was a brief description from what appears to be an illegal web-based pharmacy stating that Pramadol was manufactured in India. That said, I'm leaning towards this being some sort of counterfeit; and am left without any way of knowing if it's actually Tramadol or not. But if a pill like this is real, it honestly shouldn't be so hard to verify such claims. When you can't find any information on a drug, that's one of the biggest red flags in my book... Something else I wanted to add is that I also stumb...

Getting back to tramadol and suboxone... I was put on tramadol hcl 50mg by my primary doctor. He started me out with 3 tramadol daily, now he dropped it to 2 a day. My question is, he said it was safe to take w/ my suboxone (i've been on sub about 15 years for opiate addiction), and he said Tramadol is the only pain med that you can take (strong enough to give my lower back some relief) and safe to take w/ the suboxone. But i think I'm now dependent on the tram, i get the sweats, body aches, all the same withdrawal as w/ opiates, and i still take my suboxone which don't seem to bother me. But know i take anywhere from 15 to 20 tramadols per day, I'm supposed to take 3 suboxone per day, but i'm only taking 1. Please help, i have a lower back injury and my doctor who l...

Has anyone taken Tramadol ZENDOL - SR? I am curious what the affects are suppose to be and the difference between Tramadol HCL 50 mg? Is one more effective than the other? I have taken traditional Tramadol HCL 50 mg once every four hours and it doesn't help much. I was reading up on the Tramadol ZENDOL - SR 100mg and was wondering if I should ask my Dr. for something that may be more effective? ## No, it is the same medication, Zendol is just a foreign brand name for it and the SR shows that it is time released. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. So yes, you may not get much more relief from it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi,i also tak...

My doctor prescribed tramadol hcl 50 mg for pain in my joints, muscle and back. I also take 1mg Ativan twice a day. Should I have any concerns? I am now age 71 with a 6-year-old heart transplant. My heart is 29 years old and well. ## According to FDA warnings, both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and combining them may cause more intense side effects, which could include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, lowered blood pressure, lowered heart rate, and shallow breathing. How have you been doing taking them both? Congratulations on being 71 years young!
