Is tylenol 3 equal to tramadol 50 mg? I want to know the difference between the two pills and which one is more effective for pain? Thanks! ## Tylenol 3 contains Acetaminophen and Codeine, it is actually very mild, but the Tramadol is only moderately stronger. The NIH warns that both carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Which one works best for you?

Is this drug effective for tooth ache ## Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic that can help with mild to moderate pain, so it may give some pain relief. However, if the tooth ache has been caused by an infection, it isn't going to do anything to clear that up, nor will it help with any possible swelling that may be involved. Have you consulted a dentist? ## I have sensitive teeth and so fed up of tooth extraction. Are there any suggestions apart from the canal procedure? ## I just had a root canal, I'm on penicillin for the infection which is why I had the RC, the doctor gave me Tylenol three And after taking two no help with pain. I have tramadol 50mg, would this be a better pill to take? ## Use Sensodyne toothpaste on a regular basis even if you're also using a teeth w...

I too have increased energy and cheerfulness with a single 50 mg Tramadol. When I don't take it for a day I am very lethargic and ache. I try not to take it more than a few days in a row. The doctor is surprised at the side effects. Thank you to those who shared a similar experience. I had been wondering if this was my imagination. I hope to stay off it several days to see if my usual energy returns as it did eventually the last time I didn't take it for several days. It's a great mild pain reliever, but the mood alteration concerns me. ## Hi, Suellen! How are you? The classification for Tramadol has changed several times over the years, right now it is once again classified as an opioid and they can cause increased energy and euphoria in some people that take them. That...

How are you? The tablet with the M T7 marking is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 50mgs of Tramadol, so it has just been manufactured by a different company. This is very common with generics. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does tramadol 50mg contain codeine? The pharmacist that I spoke to while picking up the prescription assured me that it does not. I'm severely allergic to codeine and as I read the packet I got with the medication it says if you are severely allergic to codeine to not take this medication. Please help. ## Hello, Nicole! How are you? No, the pharmacist was correct. Tramadol is the active ingredient, it is a mild opioid analgesic. Thus, the FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. If you are allergic to one narcotic, there is always a risk that you may be allergic to others, but it isn't a very common occurrence. Tramadol itself, however, is not Codeine. Is there anything ...

What is the normal dose for tramadol hcl 50mg? I am taking utter prn tid for severe back pain. I have taken 75mg before I got relief. ## Tramadol became a Schedule IV August 18, 2014. Under Federal Law, a dr can write refills and can call it in. There are no restrictions on how often you must see your dr. But, your dr can have you come in as often as he wants and he doesn't have to give refills or call it in. ## The interesting thing about Tramadol is the fiasco of its creation. LOL Originally, the intent was to try to create a medication that would have the pain relieving properties of opiates, without having the addictive tendencies, and all the side effects, however, what they ended up with is a mild pain reliever that can still be habit forming, and is only a moderate level anal...

I ran out of my meds which is hydrocodone 10 325 I'm wondering what the equal to how many tramadol 50 milligramS ## Hello, Twisttle! How are you? I'm sorry, but you can't even convert between the two, they are nowhere even close to being the same in efficacy. The best suggestion I can make is to call your doctor and see what they suggest you do. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## 150 mg tramadol is way better than 1,2,3, or 4 hydros in duration and overall feeling ## What??? I get 60 50mg Tramadol a month. Root canal Friday 55 miles from home. No pain medicine given for home. When deadening wore off, this 64 year old was crying. I have Tramadol whis I take 3 a day for spinalstenosis. So my only thought was to take 2 every 6 hrs and no more than 4. It did not cut the pain. I also found Tylenol 3 in cabinet with 150 written on it. Which and how much should I take. This is July 4th and I doubt we have a pharmacy open in this rural town. The Tramadol just barely takes edge off of pain. ## Hi Glenda, Sorry to hear about your situation. I realize it's weeks past the 4th of July at this point, so I can only hope that you got everything worked out ok. I just wanted to add that legally, only your prescribing doctor or pharmacist can advise you on what and how much to take of a pharmaceutical c...

RAN OUT OF HYDROCOAPAP TAB 10-325MG, BUT HAVE TRAMADOL 50 MG, CAN I SUBSTITUTE?? ## Have you consulted your doctor? The Hydrocodone is a potent narcotic and the Tramadol is very mild, though it is distantly related, so you aren't likely to get the same effective pain relief that you do from the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen tablet. ## If you are worried about your withdrawls, then yes you can. The max dose in 24 hours is 400mg. That's 8 pills. I did the same thing and took 200mg in the morning and 150 at night just to be safe. It will hold back the withdrawls and you will sleep comfortably. However, because its not an opiate, they will not "F" you up. You will not get HIGH from these. They do however trap seratonin for longer periods of time in your brain which for most peop...

The person I care for is 100 and her family doctor is giving her tramadol 50mg and kavinace. Is it safe together? ## Hello, Donna! How is she doing? Kavinace is just a nutritional supplement that is used to treat, or prevent deficiencies in the vital nutrients that it contain, it is also believed to help support nerve health, since it contains vitamin B6. Tramadol is a mild opioid that's used to treat pain, so there should be no problem with her taking them together, if her doctor has instructed her to take them. The FDA does warn that Tramadol carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

As you know from the topic I am addicted to tramadol er 100mg twice a day. I want to come out from addiction. I tried so many times but failed due to pain I also can't sleep at all please help me. Please let me know other medicines for the replacement of tramadol. Thank you ## Tramadol is a mild opioid, so anything equivalent that you could try to replace it with would also carry the risk of being habit forming. Have you sought medical help for this issue? Usually, a slow taper is needed to help prevent the worst of the withdrawal symptoms, which may include nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea, depression, insomnia and rebound pain. ## Tramadol is not mild in any form or fashion. Dosed out on 50 mg is huge, make no mistakes. You can see this because doctors say nothing regarding its dow...

My hips also particularly at night. Can you suggest anything i can ask my doctor? I take 50mg every 6 hours or so sometimes it doesnt help. Tysm! ## Hello, Rose! How are you feeling? I'm sorry that you're in so much pain. Tramadol is very mild opiate, so most others are stronger and would likely help you more, even in low doses. The FDA classifies this medication as an opioid analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, there are also higher doses of Tramadol available that your doctor...

I have been taking tramadol a long time. For it to work, now I take 7 at a time (my doctor doesn't know this of course) and I thing I've been having mild seizures from it. I also have Hep C and my liver enzymes were 500 (got lab test) and my Primary doctor actually called me at home last night to tell me to see my specialist and not to take Aspirin, Tylenal, Advil. Does Tramadol contain acetaminisin or aspirin? ## No, Tramadol is exactly that, it doesn't contain any other active ingredients. Learn more Tramadol details here. But overdosing yourself is going to have a detrimental effect on your liver. You need to inform your doctor of how much you've been taking, because it's likely that more checks will need to be done for liver function. And if you've been havin...
