I have used tramodol 100mg er tablets for 6 months for aid in limting pain in my right hip after a fall. I was taking 2 in the AM and 1 in the evening. All went good until I recently started being unable to sleep all night. The doctor did not want to raise my dose and prescribed hydocodone/ace 5-500 and I still cannot sleep after a few hours. Should the dose of 2 tramodol be administered at night and the dose of 1 be used in AM. I do NOT have pain during the day other than very minor. ## From what I could gather, the plasma half-life of tramadol following a single or multiple dosing is 6 to 7 hours. Ordered 100mg Tramadol tab from HAR pharmaceuticals in India. It works for pain. I just can't find from company web site if available in anything other than capsule form. Just wanted to make sure it's not counterfeit. The packaging is 10 tabs per package and states 100mg. After many years of back and knee pain with no success on codeine and panadol for pain relief. I changed my dr and he has put me on tramadol 50 to 100 3 times daily, relief was amazing I feel a different person after one week. I do see many people trying to get off the drug on here. But if it was working for you with pain relief why not just stay on it. I am 77 years old so don’t think addiction would be a worry. If you are still in pain, speak to your doctor about upping your morphine (you've already maxed the tramadol there) I'm on 30mg plus 100mg tramadol which is controlling my pain much better. ## How long have you been taking them? I mostly read stories of people having problems about drugs. Side effects, unavailability, cost, etc. I have chronic pain from longstanding injuries in Vietnam that create more pain as I am in my 70th year. I have taken most anti inflammatory meds, opioids, electrical stimulation, etc. over the last 5 decades. Tramadol is the only medicine that relieves enough pain while allowing me to function during the day. I have taken Tramadol exclusively for at least 5 years. As to stopping it, if you stop suddenly, those are normal withdrawal effects. I take 3mg of warfarin and 4 mg on 3 days also I have started tramadol 100mg twice daily. Will the tramadol cause a problem with taking warfarin too? I also take slow release 5 HTP 200 g daily. I take 100 to 200mg of Tramadol per day for pain. I'm having a hysterectomy and will not be able to take it for at least 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
