My blood pressure is 110/70, Why did my MD order Metropolol Tartrate 25mg.? ## 110/70 sounds like a reading within the normal blood pressure range. I'm not sure why you would have been prescribed Metoprolol (since it is typically used to treat high blood pressure). What did your doctor say with regards to why it has been prescribed to you?
