I been taking topiramate 25 two to three time a day, as needed for headaches after getting hit in the head by metal fence panels and having a headache ever since and two rear ended car accidents . After a increasing for one a day then two, The more i take them the more the headaches pain in increases is this a side effect. So i've cut the doae down to 1 a day but that doesn't change a thing. I am 37 yr old female, and have been having severe headaches since I was about 22-23yrs old. The drs have tried sevral different medications, and while some seem to work for a bit, and others not at all. I am tired of having these bad migrains as it interupts my daily activities. I was recently prescribed 25mg 1x daily to aid in weight loss. After 4 weeks of taking the medication with no side effects, this past weekend I noticed blurriness in the eyes and trails when I turned my head from left to right. I've also been having a tough time just focusing on objects. I picked up a new RX today for Topiramate 50mg. I received separate instructions from the doctor as well as what is written on the bottle; Take 1/2 pill at bedtime for 1week, then increase by 1/2 tablet each week until you are taking 2 tablets per day (for a total of 100mg daily). Unfortunately this particular pill does not have a center line to divide the pill. My question is, without the center line, can this pill be divided into half and still be assured that each half is 25mg? My mother was put on Toplet 25mg at night after having spent a number of days in hospital complaining from sever pain in her head and body. The test results showed an infection in her bones and that her kidneys are not fully functional. I would like to know if this medication can cause her to have muscle spams, where her body parts move involentarily as well as head aches and terrible mood swings.
