Writing on behalf of my mom..she has always has probs with period..has fibroids on the uterus. Was taking novelon pill for 1.5 to 2 months at a stretch..then started getting break out bleeding..new doc was consulted who suggested 2 regestrone pills. even after that she was having little spotting and clotting (very minimal) after which she informed the doc and had 3 pills. From 5th day of period she again took 2 regestrone pills but same spotting happened and started taking 3 after which the bleeding stopped completely. I am 36 yrs old . From the time I matured ( when i was 13 yrs old ) I have been having irregular periods and took various hormonal medication from my gynaec to regularise them. Till date after so many years I still have irregular periods. I am married for almost 10yrs and have not concieved. I get my periods once in 3 months and the flow is very heavy and lasts for more than a month . My gynaec has to prescribe hormones again for the flow to stop. Apart from physical exhaustion , I have to face lot of mental tension from my in-laws for my condition . The doctor says I have PCOD and prescribes me the hormones for either heavy bleeding or to induce menses when I dont get my periods for 3 months . How long can this continue . Hai, Am 48 years. For the past three months my periods are irregular. Also, it starts as a spotting, bleeds and does not stop completely. I was advised to take Regestrone tablets thrice a day for one week, twice a day for two weeks. The bleeding has stopped completely. Now am advised for a scan to check the uterus lining. Am worried. Hi... I have been getting irregular periods. This month when i got my periods on the 3rd my doctor gave me regestrone 5 mg and told me to start these after 22nd and to take 2 tablets each day for 5 days. I made a mistake and confused it with another tablet she gave me and started taking these on the 9th that was the 5th day of my period itself. My periods stopped on the 7th day and by now i've already taken 6 of these tablets... I'm really scared as to what will happen if i consumed these so early.
