i had heart problems in dec2009 , and had two stens ,, to get rid of blockage, prescribed tonac 40 / depact75/ 75 and remistar 5mg, can any body advice me on side effects , as i am having skin allergy , with swollen red skin , which keep on moving from one body to other , taking medicen from last 4 months , but noy fully cured ,

I am advised by the doctor to take Tonact 10 for high Cholesterol. Now I have been taking it almost for a year. I sometimes feel weak and loose control of nerves. Is this kind of side effect? Should I discontinue? To keep my cholesterol in check my cardiologist prescribed tonact 10 later reduced to 5.After 5 years of no side affects, I developed severe muscle and joint pains,and was popping pain killers and applying gels on effected areas. During a regular checkup, I complained to my doctor and he suggested stopping tonac for a fortnight which I did.Within 2 days the pains magically stopped. I had bypass surgery a year ago. I take 1 no. Ramistar 1.25, 2 no. Carvistar 3.125 1no. Ecosprin 150 mg and 1 no. tonact 20mg. Last few weeks i feel joint pain, muscle pain and constipation problem. Please advise is it because of any side effects of the above mdeicine.

I am 55 years old having problem of hyper acidity and allergy of Sulfur, recently I have done an angiography as I have face some problems of chest pain. I am having repeated case of Deudonal Ulcer and now recently had irratic Palpitation for three days now theres no such recurrance . Tonact is used before meal or after meal ## Hello, Drsharma! How are you? It can be taken either way. It can cause nausea as a side effect in some people that take it, so in that case, they nay be able to reduce the nausea by taking it with food, but it can also be taken on an empty stomach.
