Hello. I am curious if Terramicina works at all or better on a stye than Tobramycin? ## Most do not require treatment, according to NIH reports, they will usually go away on their own, though it may take about a week, or so. As to using either of these medications, since they are not specifically formulated for optical use, thus, they might not be sterile and safe for use in your eye. According to the FDA that means they could worsen the issue, or cause additional infections. How are you doing? Has there been any change?

Opcon A eye drops work well for a short time. I haven't found any eye drops to replace Visine L.R. that have the lasting effects. Hope this helps! ## If you only need them occasionally, use what I use —although it's Rx Only (in practice, a local doc visits a local pharmacy and we buy it OTC or if we have Rx coverage, bring a script) —TOBRADEX (generic available: TOBRAMYCIN and DEXAMETHASONE. Not for daily use. Very effective and the generic is expensive; I use my RX coverage to pay for 3 x 5mL and noted that the retail would be close to $300, ad that;s for the Sandoz generic.
