Hey I have searched and researched about different things I can obtain over the counter to make at home detoxing from opiates a bit more comfortable then cold turkey.. I live in Canada and some of the medications non prescription aren't avaiable here. I have been taking 30mg ir morphine sulfate about 4 months 2 or 3a day and want to stop On My own at home please send any advice possible I've tried before but after 2nd day pain and sweats too bad so didn't stop taking. ## Have you consulted your doctor? Even if you prefer to do it at home, they would still be able to advise you of the best and safest methods to do so. If you tried to stop taking them abruptly, without tapering, or gradually stretching it out, so you take the doses further and further apart, it is normal to experience withdrawal effects, such as you've described. Usually a slow taper is the best way to discontinue a narcotic medication. ## GO SEE A DR. THEY WILL SLOWLY GET YOU OFF WITH A ANXIETY MEDICINE I GOT ADAVIN BEEN TRYING NO ANSWER YET

I've been going to the hell clinic (methadone) for a lil over 5 yrs. I had 6 take homes for most of that time. I told them i wanted to go down 2 mgs a day. They said i wanted to go down too fast & I'd be "unstable" so they took away ALL my take homes. I told them to start taking me down 5 a day then instead of 2 mgs. I only have 2 more days to go. I don't want to start old pill habits, but will taking Lortabs or small amounts of Morphine help with the withdrawals? I'm taking xanax (prescribed) & lots of vitamins & vit c. & of course Immodium. About Me & A Question: After I stopped taking Dilaudid (prescribed) I got violently ill, freaked out and found myself at a for-profit methadone clinic. I was there for 6 months, my highest dose was 45 mg but I spent the majority of it at 30 mg. Even though I earned 3 take homes, I became VERY sick of driving in there 4 days a week and paying $450/month ($15 per day) and I wasn't there for the right reasons (because I freaked out from the previous withdrawal) so I started my detox and totally ignored their suggested schedule and did it my way (much faster). After 31 months in a state correctional facility (for a non violent crime/ misdemeanors) I was released. I started taking Suboxone 8mg and have been since May 2011. I wanted to stop taking them but I knew the detox was not going to be easy and they don't really have a detox for suboxone except for Methadone and I do not ever want to go down that road again. I'm trying to find a doctor or program that will prescribe methadone to keep me off of street opiates that doesn't make me go there everyday to get "dosed". I just can't involve my family and I don't want to lie to get out on weekends. I live in Dunedin Fl. and I'm insured but I'll not use insurance if that is required. My goal is to wean the methadone down to 2 a day then go on subutex to get off all together. The clinics I have called expect me to go 4 days with no methadone then start subutex or suoxone. Hello, I am looking for a Dr in or near Lancaster Ohio that can prescribe LIQUID methadone to me to get me off Suboxone. Here is a little background. I took percocets for recreation use for just over a year. In November of this year I will have been on 24mg of Suboxone a day for 2 years. Yes I have been on the subs twice as long as my addiction lasted. Don't get me wrong subs saved my ass but I am ready to close this chapter in my life and move on. Slick just had a slip that lasted 2days with the drug meth. I had stored my urine in case of this, only to find out urine had to be frozen for long periods. My first idea was to mix my urine(must contain methadone and klonopin)half and half with fresh urine clean of all drugs. I can't get advice or help so far. At the present I get 3 take homes and I treasure it because a round trip for me is around 120 miles. I was about to run out of money, but with days off I am saving around $90 a week, and I know I should have thought about that, but being what I am in certain circumstances I fall victim. Hi, I am an opiate addict. I have already tried the suboxone route and it was terrible to get off and terrible to be on. I would like to try methadone for awhile and not stand in line. Private physicians are not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment or maintenance. I was on methadone for almost 5 years. Then, I switched 2 suboxone. I was on (110) of methadone and tapered 2 (24). At that point, I was so sick with w/d symptoms. I choose 2 go on subs instead of staying on the meth and increasing, again. I've had many surgeries and medical problems. I'm also on klonopin 4 anxiety. My problem is: I still suffer from a lot of pain. I've been thinking about going back on methadone, b cause it worked better with the pain. I took a ua today. There was a very very light line for meth. My probation officer is sending it to the lab. Does this happen often? This was my d.o.c. so it doesn't look good but that was all he tested me for. I was so nervous my friend bought me an at home test I took myself immediately when I returned home and the line was darker but the thc line was light. I'm worried that some of my personal items like my jewelry box may have had some spilled in it months ago. Is it possible that I could be contaminating myself when I grab things out of it and would it show up at the lab if so? There isn't any visible in the box but its lined with velvet. I go to a methadone program and have for about 4 years. I've recently had the flu which caused me to vomit up my methadone (I get 5 take home bottles per week). Tried taking another bottle and threw up again. I'm feeling sick from not taking it so I took a 60 mg morphine sulfate pill. Will this help at all? ## It may help stave off the worst of the withdrawals you could experience, since it is also a narcotic. However, before doing so in the future, you really should call the doctor or clinic you are working with and get their advice, first. I have been using loratab 10s about 1.5 a day for severe tooth pain for about a year now I seem to be stuck on them. Now I use just to get thru my day. Hello all. I am seeking advice for either home remedies to help alleviate some of the symptoms of withdrawal as you taper off methadone, or any and all suggestions about how to go about reducing the dosage and cravings. My boyfriend has been on methadone for 3 years. At first it was a 105 mg dosage just a substitute to get his fix instead of using. Now, he is really trying to get clean and slowly get off methadone. He's been on 30 mg for (from what I can recall) 6 months. About a month ago, he tapered down to 25 mg. He takes 10 mg pills and we are cutting them into fourths and halves.
