I am 60 years old and lost weight due to double lung infection. Which is now clear I would prefer to put back the Lost 10 to 15 kgs lost ## Hello, Mike! How are you doing? It will most likely just be a matter of time, as your body heals and things return to normal the weight will likely return. It is probably going to just require some patience on your part. Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to do that, just to be sure there's nothing else going on, but otherwise eating healthy will be your best solution.

I want to gain weight..please help me.I am female..20 years old.please reply me gain weight drug. ## Hi niki, To gain weight in a healthy manner I would suggest the first option of portioning out your meals every 2-3 hours (right around 6 meals per day). These meals should include natural nutrient dense foods with little to no empty calories, so you can get the most out of each meal. Another option which would be useful to include with the above information, is to supplement with something that will increase your appetite. Depending on your view and the legal status in your country/state, medical marijuana has extreme appetite increasing properties; however there are other pills out there that can do pretty much the same thing. Most importantly (in my opinion) is to get as many fruits a...

I need help gaining weight. I've lost too much and am feed up with it. The worst part is that now my family is trying to claim I do not eat at all and suggesting I eat every three hours. I do eat. More then most actually. One reason is because I am trying to quit smoking so naturally I eat more as a result. Still I haven't gained any weight. I tried eating high protein foods too and nothing. What medicines or products might I use to help me gain weight again. ## Well, the first important question to ask is why have you lost so much weight? Why is your family claiming you don't eat? Learn more weight gain details here. The underlying issue that's caused the problem needs to be correctly figured out and solved, before any possible solution will help. For instance, if you a...

I've had a son who is about to be a year old and the day I had him I ONLY weighed 128, I thought I would keep MOST of the weight but I instantly lost it. 5 days PPD I weighed 110...and then 2 weeks later back at 90. I HATE how I look and feel anyone have any advice? I am CONSTANTLY eating, some days its like I have never ending hunger /: ## Hello, Luluxo! How are you? Congratulations on your son. With the way you describe having such a massive appetite some days, I'm concerned that you have a medical condition that requires treatment to rectify the problem. That could also explain why you...

I was on torredol for one month and gained weight from the medication. How long will it take for this to go away? I have been off for a month and still have the weight. ## Hello, Leslie! How are you? Have you consulted your doctor about this? That rapid weight gain might be due to fluid retention, which NSAIDs like this can sometimes cause and, if that is the case, it may require medical treatment. ## Oh, thank you for letting me know. I will definitely bring it up when I see my doctor. Much appreciated

Bystolic contains the active ingredient Nebivolol, which is a beta blocker and it is was a sudden, rapid weight gain, then it could be a sign of severe fluid retention, which could be a sign of congestive heart failure. Im a 51 year old male with long standing testosterone issues. Several years ago my T level was 113. I was placed on Androgel1.0 then Androgel 1.62. Both had little to no effect. The Doc started giving me T shots every 2 weeks and the results were better but I still felt worn down. After my T levels fell to 118 in early November 2013 I had testopel pellets inserted. My sleep pattern INSTANTLY improved. The following morning I was awake at 5:39 am. Improved sleeping and intermittent burst of energy are the only benefits I have noticed. Since the Testopel insertion 25 days ago I have gained 13 pounds while keeping the same diet and have not thought about intercourse once. Has anyone had similar results? Any thoughts? ## Hello, Jimmy! How are you? Has the doctor checked your other hormone l...

im 29 yrs old but my weight is only43kgs.. many people are telling me that im really thin.. some said im like skin and bone.. i want to gain weight.. ## How tall are you? Do you eat a good, healthy diet and get lots of exercise? Some people are just meant to be tiny, not everyone is the same and meant to be heavier. Being overweight is much more dangerous than being thin. As long as you aren't dangerously thin, then there is nothing to worry about. Have you consulted a doctor about your weight?

I'm 32 yr old women, I been losing a lot of weight I'm suppost to be 160 and now I'm in 125 what vitamins are good to gain my weight back and fast.. Thank you. ## Hi Muneca22, If you're looking to gain weight, vitamins can be a great way to help supplement your nutrient intake, providing energy, as well as improving absorption of the foods you eat. However, I think It might be a good idea to have blood work done first in order to determine whether you have any nutrient deficiencies - that way you can know without a doubt what specific nutrient(s) your body is lacking in. A standard multivitamin could probably suffice in terms of replacing deficiencies, but from my experience, raw vitamins and minerals derived from whole fruits/vegetables tend to be best since they are no...

I've been trying to gain weight. The doctor I go to doesn't want to give me anything, so what can I do? I really need help. Thank you. ## Hello, Kawanda! How are you? Well, helping someone gain weight, unless they are severely anorexic/bulimic is not something that doctors typically do. How much do you weight, how old you are you and how tall are you? Unless you're underweight, there is no need to gain weight, doing so can also be dangerous.

I've been on Toprol XL 50mg for a little over one year. Since then I have gained 20lbs and have notice an overall increase in my appetite. Has anyone else had this reaction? ## ABSOLUTELY! Started taking this drug in the 230s. Shot up to the 250s. Rode my bicycle 1,000+ miles during the summer to get back to the 240s. Now pushing 260 as I am not riding in the winter. Doctor does not believe Toprol is the problem. WRONG-O. Lokking for a new doctor! ## I started taking topprol xl 100mg about 6 mos. ago and have noticed a weight gain also. I quit smoking yr. ago and went to exercise classes and they said my weight would metabolize in 6 mos. Wrong, taking toprol has made me gain more weight and I'm so hungry all the time. I have been on Topamax for about 10 months, started at 25mg a day. Now at 50mg in the morning 50mg at bed time and I have gained so much weight since I started on this medicine, it has not helped with weight loss at all. I do not have migraines at all anymore but I am close to 30 lbs heavier. What can I do? any ideas? ## Hi, Lisa! How are you? I'm very sorry about the weight gain. But many medications are known to cause the opposite of the expected effects in some people that take them. Have you increased your activity rates and been careful with your diet? You may have already done so, but sometimes people don't think of the first and most obvious steps. Have you talked to your doctor about it? They may have additional ideas that can help you.

I have been on 15mg of Xarelto along with 40mg of Crestor for approximatley 8 months and have suffered through a distended abdomen and burning and aching in my hips, legs and feet. After blood tests and scans ruled out anything sinister I chose to stop taking Crestor altogether. Within a week my abdomen was no longer distented and much of the pain in my hips and legs reduced to a point where I actually got some sleep. I have now started back doing my walking and concentrating on eating everything right but my weight inexplicably is going up and up. I have also noticed my tension type headache and tinnitus which I have had both for 11 years has intensified and difficult to ignore. I can only think the weight gain can be caused by Xarelto...there seems to be no other explanation and I hav...

Just had gallbladder removed and had papillary stenosis which they perform a sphinctoromy. This illness started at the end of July. Gallbladder out 5 weeks ago. Sphinctoromy 1 week ago. I went from 132 to 118 from July till now. How can I gain my weight back? ## Hello, Kay! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you've had. Do you have any dietary restrictions, since having the surgery? It will likely just be a matter of time, making sure that you eat good, healthy meals frequently. Rather than just 3 times a day, you may want to eat more often, if your doctor approves. I've found that nuts, like almonds, tend to help me a lot, when my weight drops and my cardiologist highly approves of my eating them, since they have many health benefits.
