Was given to me for pain and muscle relaxer due to degenerative arthritus of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th verterbre. The 7th verterbre is the worst and recommends surgery to repair missing verterbre in all verterbra missing disc, 2 thru 7. Dr said it had really taken a toll on 7. ## Tizanidine is strictly a muscle relaxant, not a pain reliever, the only way it can help with pain is by preventing or relieving muscle spasms. The pill I found is round, white and had an x on one side and U 159 on the other side. What is it? ## Any chance that the imprint on your pill says "U 169" instead of U 159? I located a round white pill with U 169 on one side and an x (or cross-scored) on the back. This pill is reportedly identified as a 4mg Tizanidine HCL tablet, used as a muscle relaxant. I've been taking the muscle relaxers flexeril 10mg 2x a day and or methocarbamol 750mg 3-4x a day. Neither of them work. What is the strongest relaxer I can ask my dr for. I suffer from low back pain daily. ## I am so much pain, and feel like i have tried everything, I just want relief. I can not move my neck.
