I want to know side effects. Am having no problems now just relief from arthritis pain ## Morphine is a narcotic analgesic, the ER means it is a time released formulation, the generic for MS Contin. Its side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, constipation and dizziness. More details: You should also be informed that, with long-term use, Morphine can cause some swelling in the joints of some people, so after you are on it for awhile, there is a slight possibility that it could make your pain worse. If you experience this, please be sure to contact your doctor immediately. Is there anything else I can help with?

My Doc prescribed me 15 mg of Morphine. Ive been on vicodin 7.5 mg for three years. How much of a difference is morphine? I took half of the blue pill just now. ## The Morphine is stronger than the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin, it is also a straight narcotic, without the Acetaminophen that is in the Vicodin. It sounds like your doctor is trying to help you get better control of your pain. The main issue here is, what type of Morphine pills are they? If they are the time released version, generics for MS Contin, then cutting the pill in half could be very dangerous and should not be done. It can cause you to have too much of the medication released at once. The side effects are similar and may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. You can read more here: Do you know what ty...

Morphine pill with ms 15 on one side and m on the other.Does this pill have control release. ## Hi Jesse, The answer to your question is yes. The imprint "M MS 15" on a round blue pill has been identified as Morphine sulfate extended release (15 mg). Learn More: Morphine Details I hope this helps! ## hi jesse, if that pill isn't prescribed to you, take it to whomever it was prescribed to. if i'm correct, morphine sulfate is the generic of OXYCONTIN and noooooo good unless you are suffering from a terminal condition. the quantity (15mg) is instant release, (extended came in 10mg, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and maybe 120mg (120's i've heard of but never been prescribed. new trend among teenagers (pill parties) or what i call "rushin roulette" because they are taki...

How many oxycodone 5-325 equals 1 morphine 15 mg? ## Hello, DJ! How are you? Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so you'd need 10mgs of it to equal each 15mgs of Morphine. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, that's not entirely accurate in this case, since the Acetaminophen augments the action of the Oxycodone. It may also differ further, if the Morphine in question is a time released formulation. Is it a generic for MS Contin, or a regular release? ## Vernon, Thank you for your reply. She is back on her morphine now so all is good! Thanks again!

Was taking perc5-325 for 4 yrs every 12 hrs. Got to the point it wasn't working for me animore .now I'm on ms 15mg twice a day .any suggestions on this pill .kinda a nervous. Thank you. ## Hello, Mariah! How are you? MS Contin contains the active ingredient Morphine. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It would basically be equivalent to taking a 10/325mg Percocet every 12 hours, however, the MS Contin is time released, so you may get better pain control with it. Are there any other questions or concerns?

is there a difference between abg 15 and ms 15 morphine tablets? ## Hello, Erika! How are you? No, they have just been manufactured by different companies. This is very common with generics, it creates market competition to help keep prices lower. The one with the ABG marking is manufactured by Watson Pharmaceuticals and the one with the MS M 15 on it is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals, but both contain 15mgs of Morphine in an extended release formulation. The FDA classifies this as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Ive taken small doses of opiods before, and one 15mg abg, but not on a regular basis. I was just wondering how long tye effects will last, amd when it is safe to drink. And what are warning signs I should look out for? I think im going to be ok though. ## IThe drug is morphine sulfate extended-release, generic for MS Contin 15 mg tablets. It is odd you would be prescribed an extended-release medication if you are only taking it occasionally. MS Contin (and its generics) are used for people requiring continuous pain relief and is taken every 12 hrs. MS Contin Extended Release lasts 12 hrs so that xx mg does of morphine is being slowly released rather than the full dose working immediately (but lasting only 4-6 hrs). MS Contin is NOT intended to be taken as needed so it may be a large enou...

These dont seem to work can you take every 8hrs instead of 12hrs ## Hi Mike, It sounds to me like the dosage may not be strong enough for you; but to answer your question, the usual adult dose for pain is 5 to 30 mg every 3 to 4 hours as needed (when taking it Orally, Sublingual, or Buccal). The dosing indications for MS Contin (Morphine Oral) also state that "extended-release" tablet dosages range from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours. So depending on whether or not your tablets are extended-release, you should have some flexibility with the hours. I hope this helps! ## They are extend release ## If anyone is looking for a "buzz" with MS Contin, you are very unlikely to get it. These pills are ...

Does m15 m blue pills cause you to have energy. Or is it like a soma just relaxes you? ## The pill you are describing is identified as Morphine sulfate extended release 15 mg. Interestingly enough, some people do get lots of energy from taking Morphine. But there are others who become more prone to its side effects, which can bring about a sense of tiredness. You may want to give it a trial run to see how well you respond to it. A list of side effects can be found here: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682133.html#side-effects Just keep in mind: the things you eat and your activity level can really impact what energy you do have and how this drug might affect it. I hope this helps to answer your question!
