According to a medical test i had undergone recently, it was written that my T3 and T4 secretions were allright. But the secretion of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) was less (my TSH was found to be 5.98 uIU/ml, wherease as written in the report, in adults it is found to be 0.27 to 4.2 uIU/ml). My mother requires the tablets laisted as thyroxine sodium solution based but we are only getting levothyroxine sodium which has a range or side effects from severe pains to crystallization of the tear ducts which required surgery. Are there any other brands (GSK stopped producing the original for Trinidad, W.I.) that we can try to source. I just want to know that I my doc prescribed me to take 2 tablets of thyroxine sodium daily in the morning niw I have an imported tablet named as eltroxine ( anhydrous thyroxine sodium ) can I take this tablet in the replacement of previous one ? ## Is anhydrous-thyroxine-sodium-same as thyroxine. My wife is taking Thyroxin Sodium 100 mg for thyroid manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline India. Now I am in Canada and was taking the same with the consultation of the Doctor. Now the test is done and the thyroid is low. Now the doctor recommended Synthroid 75 mcg. My question is that whether I can take Throxin sodium instead of synthroid. ## Hi Subhash, Based on my research, Synthroid contains Levothyroxine; which is a synthetic version of the thyroid hormone thyroxine. Thyroxine is the natural hormone that is secreted by the thyroid gland. White is the color of the tablet. ## have two thyroxine doses - one round JSP on one site - 522 with 1/2 splits AND cylindrical or oval pink pill with M or W on one site (think M) and L 13 with split on other side - are these both thryoxine, but different manufacturers? ## To the original poster, I cannot find a tablet that meets the description containing this medication. Lejepson, yes, those are both the same, just made by different companies. They both contain 200mcgs of Thyroxine, used to treat Thryoid disorders. My tsh is 24. T3 and t4 are normal. I have an anemia value of 9 against a normal value being 11. I also have vitamin d and b12 deficiency. My symptom is severe fatigue. My age is 68. I'm female. Not having any other medications except vitamin c. My doctor started me on a dose of 150mcg thyroxine sodium. However, your body can react differently to differenct medications, so while on one medication you may not experience a lot of side effects, but a switch to a new drug, even in the same class, might result in more severe side effects. I was told this is Armour. Looks like its totally not. I ordered it from India but it says thyroxine sodium tablets. Paid 140 bucks for it to. Which from what I'm reading its totally not Armour. Correct? ## You are correct. Armour actually contains desiccated thyroid gland from pigs. You can learn more Armour details here. i have pulmonary embolism for the last 18 months and have been taking warfarin 10mg sometime 12 mg depending on the INR value at 6pm everyday.
