About a year ago I was diagnosed with having low Thyroid levels and was put on levothyroxine 50mg. A couple of months later after more tests it was concluded that I have Hashimotos. Time frame August 2014-Aug 2015. In Jan 15 I noticed some asthma upon exertion and after talking with my doctor he suggested I carry an inhaler when exercising. I used the inhaler twice and then nothing for a couple of months although I did notice some gradual shortening of breath and headaches. Breathing got worse in April after a severe bout with bronchitis. Went back to Dr and he decided to try me on Armour. Still having shortness of breath but still able to take walks. Hi - I have thyroid issues, and within the last three years my thyroid has became very active. I was told I had hyper when I was 15 and now I will be turning 22 this December. But just in last three years I have noticed that my teeth have become really bad. Decaying of my molars, sensitive to hot and cold, and jaw pain. My wisdom teeth are growing in but my dentist in Burlington (Pearl Dental) says that my wisdom teeth will not affect any other tooth unless it scrapes the others. My gums were also tender and swollen for about a week. I was wondering if having a really overactive thyroid would cause these problems? I should also tell you that my doctor is very worried that I could have a heart attack at any moment. I am dizzy, can not sleep, always hungry, losing weight fast, some days m...

I have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes since the past month and a half. I am hypothyroid as well since 1994. I had managed to keep my weight under control but I have gained 6 kilos of weight. I was wondering what this weight gain is due to.I am very worried about this Please advise ## Either of these conditions can cause some weight gain, as well as the medications for Thyroid problems. Since I don't know the specifics of what medications you are taking and your medical history, these are only guesses, but they may explain it. It is also normal to gain weight, sometimes, as we age. I used to date a girl who started taking Redotex after stopping for a while. 2 weeks after that she wanted to combine it with Paxil, which is an antidepressant. On top of that she was already taking pills for thyroid problems. She used to say that if she didn't take the thyroid pills she would feel very tired. She would burst in tears out of nothing due to a side effect of Paxil. I'm still worried about her and I suggested her to excercise, however she refused. She would also get anxiety attacks. My question is: what behavior should we expect from someone who has been doing this for years? How is she going to be affected in a long term usage? What other side effects should we expect from the combination of Redotex, Paxil and thyroid pills? Thanks for your help.

I have Graves disease (thyroid problems) and I am taking an SSRI anti-depressant called Lexapro after being changed from Zoloft and I have been having the Tremors for the last 9 months. I have seen a Neurologist and my GP who can't work out why these temors are happening. Can someone please let me know of the newer classes of medications that don't cause the Tremors please, because these tremors are happening 24 hours a day and I can't do the things that I used to be able to do. I have had bad falls because of this and now I mostly stay in bed where up to 9 months ago I was a very high functioning worman.
