I have for many years used this medication and found it the adequate treatment for my hypertension. Its accessibility over the past few years has been increasingly and aggravatingly sketchy..sometimes the pharmacy has it in stock; more often it does not and has to order making it necessary to order way ahead of need. This week another disregard for patients happened to me. I ordered my teveten a week in advance. Called today to see if it were ready as I was now out of pills! The pharmacist had to tell me that Abbott was no longer making the pill and neither they nor affliates of Walgreens could get any. It was their mistake in not telling me earlier this was the case although they evidently had faxed my cardiologist and had gotten no answer; therefore no order for a replacement. The pha...

i HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED TEVETEN FOR MAYBE 20 YEARS AND BELIEVE IT IS THE PROPER HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION FOR ME AS DO MY SPECIALISTS. HOWEVER IN RECENT YEARS THE ACCESSIBILITY HAS BEEN SO LIMITED AND IT IS SO INCONSISTENTLY DELIVERED TO MY PHARMACY (WALGREEN'S IN SAN RAFAEL) THAT TODAY I AM WITHOUT MY EVENING DOSAGE. MY PRESCRIPTION WAS PROMISED TO ME ON JUNE 20 NOW THEY SAY THERE ARE NO SOURCES IN THE WHOLE BAY AREA WITH TEVETEN. THIS IS A DRUG WITH NO GENERIC AND NOT ON THE FORMULARY SO IT HAS A HIGH PRICE TAG. I HAVE WILLINGLY PAID THAT BUT THE ANXIETY OF GETTING IT IS "GETTING TO" ME! I have been taking Teveten HCT 600-25 for a long time. I'm undergoing LapBand surgery soon, and need to know if the tablets can be crushed?

my father is on 10mg of coumadin, and he was recently prescribed aggrenox. He is also taking k/dur, demadex, xanax, lortab, ambien, lexapro, and teveten. I am worried that there is a danger in him taking aggrenox because of the fact that it contains aspirin. ## 10 mg of coumadin is a large dose. Why is he on this large a dose??? I find this very interesting. ## June, I am not sure if you will get a response, since this post was made almost 4 years ago. The dosage, however, varies from individual to individual, there is no standard dosing for Coumadin/Warfarin. It is decided by testing the clotting factor in the person's blood, then a dosage adjustment is made, if needed. ## I am taking Aggrenox for tia. I fell today and think I injured my ribs.
